    Depends. What's the cost of something on Earth or in orbit? With $10k/lb (2.2 kilo-hectors I think) into orbit being low end for now, it could be worth it to set up mining and manufacturing in space. There, everything is worth more so it may prove equitable to produce. Now, are there any economically feasible reasons to be up there, that would make financial sense to a banker on Earth? Probably not but bankers aren't the be-all and end-all of humanity. At least, I hope not.

    Yup, the KC-135's (introduced in 1957), I worked on in the 80's, and my father worked on in the 60's. They're still in active service today, with projected use through 2040. But yeah, avionics upgrades out the yin yang.

    As for cars, as long as they allow '68-'72 Chevys on the road, i'll be happy.

    Yeah, but it's paid for by the phone companies, using fees they collect for it. How is that right? Companies shouldn't be shackled by conservative mandated rules and forced to give up their god given profits. Didn't Jesus say Render from Caesar all that you can, to lord it over the peasants in the fields?
