I think the original poster meant a section like YRO, BSD, Apple, Games, etc. Because as you pointed out, yes, there is a TOPIC for music. The sections are the things on the left, right underneath your personal preferences.
Why would we license evey employee of the University for RHEL when only a small fraction actually use it?
Why not just buy licenses for only the employees of the university who use RHEL? Wouldn't Red Hat only know of the employees who you buy licenses for? They only know what you tell them. It only makes sense to buy licenses for the users who'll use the product. That's how every OS I'm aware of operates in regard to licensing.
How the fuck did you buy a house at 19 (or 18 for that matter) and simultaneously be going through college? Did you win the lottery? I find it hard to believe you could secure a loan as a student. Even if the house was bought in an auction (100 year old house, it's certainly possible) you'd need a lot of cash to refurbish the thing.
Smoking a joint is socially acceptable in my social life. In fact, if someone were to bitch and moan about someone toking up, they'd be the ones making the social gaffe.
Windows XP and 2000 have this annoying feature of doing a semi-graphical text mode. What I mean by this, is they do something weird with my video card so that it only shows a weird, unreadable mess of lines. Upgrading my BIOS helped to fix this, but for a while, I either had to swap video cards or install NT4 or Debian. I fully understand and respect Debian's choice to have a graphical installer.
Yeah, except this lady's getting a criminal record, whereas the people getting busted for swapping mp3s are just getting a civil tort filed against them. If you get a felony, your life is a lot shittier. Harder to get a job, you better believe it. And in some places you can't vote if you're a felon.
You're a retard. You would be unemployable without Google? Learn a skill or two. And it's not like there aren't other search engines. I hope you were exaggerating, otherwise maybe you don't belong in the IT industry. To think that your entire repertoire of employable abilities are based on Google. Unless you work there, that's sad.
Why does that seem small? $1.5 million's a lot of money. Plus there was a few pieces of property and some automobiles. Where are you getting your numbers from that lead you to believe that this guy's small?
Sometimes the help comes a little further down the road. For example, if your friend's house burns down and you donate wood to him, don't expect that he'll have a house built the next day.
That really fucked my brain up. I thought you were talking about Legos originally, until I read it a few times. Of course, I was listening to the Butthole Surfers while drunk, also, so there's something right there too. Kudos for flipping my brain in my head!
Yes, the last line does say it all, which is why it was quoted in the article writeup. I can read, don't bother parroting Slashdot's writeup for me. Who modded this insightful?

Well, those'll be really useful in case AOL's servers can't handle the load.
Suicidal Tendencies spells it Cyco, not Syco. As in "Born to be Cyco." So the guy's still a bad speller.
I have been out-nerded. You, sir, are the victor. I stand down.
Nice use of the word K-Rad. That sort of lost popularity as the Internet got more popular. Thanks for reminding me of it.
And you spelled it wrong both times. :)
Not San Franciso, San Francisco.
I admire your tenacity. Still beta testing, after the final product has come out? You're hard core.
Way to go. I have got to get out of Vermont, everything here's expensive. Gentrification's a motherfucker.

I'm 25... it might be an age thing.

I think the average Slashdot reader is a lamer. I know I am!
That's the same argument people used when CD-ROM drives were a new thing. You just have to bite the bullet and get with the new technology.
I first read that headline as "Napster and Genitalia Measurements". I guess that doesn't make much sense at all.
RTFA. It's not sales tax, it's Internet access tax. Two separate issues.
It's not paranoia if it's actually happening!

Yeah, they had that idea before you thought of it. Check out the article that was on Slashdot last week.

I wish you weren't already modded to +5, that's the funniest thing I've read today.
