The worst part about whats going on with PSN was the fact I only heard about it through/. and other online news sources and nothing from Sony themselves. If I did not check these sites I would have had no knowledge about the hack. I wonder if there will be any class action lawsuits going on after this is cleared up as I seen it stated that CC info might have been leaked.
/. could get it's members to write a lot of publications about how video games are not responsible for violence. If their logic is true, then they would have to admit defeat and admit they are wrong, but I am sure something "new" would show up allowing them to remain on their moral high horse.
true, but they can give a person a min or two before busting in to give a person a chance to serender..if not then they can throw in some tear gas or whatever they pick and storm the place.
Who said you can't stream HD from netflix? AFAIK a lot of video is encoded in 720P and I think there is some stuff in 1080P. Netflix HD video looks pretty good on my new HDTV
It never really works for me. I guess it is just bad eyesight, but still I will not pay for anything in 3D because I will not be getting anything out of it. I also will not want to spend the extra money they are changing for this "Privilege" For everybody who notices a difference with 3D tech, then good for you, but it is taking away my non 3D options because the people who make this stuff see how the consumers will pay a lot more for it:(

Exactly -- I was excited about this announcement exactly because I wanted to rewatch DS9 with my teenage son. But that's half a year away. I'm not surprised if someone torrents it instead, but I suppose I'll finally get around to hooking my TV up to my computer and get it through startrek.com.
Tempting, but my video card does not have HDMI out so it would not be so straightforward for me to do that.

What programs are you getting in HD? Most aren't available in HD as far as I could tell (using my PS3).
Fullmetal alchemist brotherhood is in HD
Jericho is also in HD and has subtitles.

I can mail in a movie on Tuesday and get a new movie on Thursday so that is a 2 day turnaround for me, that is what I consider decent :)

DS9 was the only series I really wanted to watch and now I have to wait to Oct...makes torrent worth it :)

not everybody has a TV capture card to do so...heck there are people without cable/sat to get the video to record it in the first place :)
