What really ruins Cat5 is how good the shielding wire is. You can get good, cheap cat 5 cable. But if the shielding wire is 28-34ga while the main conductor is 24ga you get what you pay for. That also really makes a difference when they 'stretch' out the twists for shielding. Both twist, and gauge count matter in Cat5.
You know what was fun? Finger was mentioned, and it was still up in use until about oh 2004 or maybe 2006 with a lot of game dev's who used it as part of the.plan system. And for a lot of people interested in the industry it was a seriously kick ass way to get dev. input and help on your own projects. I dunno I guess while everything has become grand, great, and pretty kick ass. There's a lack of personalization these days on the whole.
Damn it... GET OFF MAH LAWN! *wave spike cane of doom menacingly*
Or maybe it's the fact that I live in a part of the world where I have the right to privacy, not the exception to privacy. Amazing what happens in a world when your right's are infringed. So yes, the reality that they're trying to tie things to an unproven science in order to create a fake market for the evils of carbon, really does lead to them doing it for your best interest. You have no rights in doing what you want.
Blaming anti-nuclear people for the lack of upgrades/maintenance of existing nuclear plants is wrong.
Sorry no. It's quite right, because environmentalists have dug in, and decided that any nuclear is bad nuclear. As such, building new plants, or doing upgrades, or anything else are a bad idea. Environmentalists and nimby idiots are at fault whether they like it or not.
No. Because more power usage means that there's more generation being created. There is an upper curve, yes. But, in places like Ontario where we already have these meters, and businesses have fled, and people have cut back usage? The OPG applied for and got an increase in order to off-set conversation. Smart meters only cost you more money.
Ontario(Cdn) went to smart meters. People curbed back power usage. Businesses left. There is a glut of power now. OPG(ontaro power generation) applied for and got a 5-10% increase based on less consumer demand to offset less usage.
Funny. I thought they were there so they could rape people in the face with excessively high power costs. Which are the result of massive conservation efforts.
Pft. You can run those same models retroactively and compare them against proxies. You know what you see? The models are busted to the point where they can't even accurately predict past knowns.
Better watch out. You're speaking heresy against doctrine. I'm sure that the warmists and the church of global warming will come along and mod you, and me into oblivion any time now.
Personally my worst job was working on a dairy farm. This is going back oh 10 years or so. So dealing with modern to ancient equipment(including a 8088), a mix of various network protocols, different types of cabling(the mishmash of coax and ethernet was fun along with the super corroded terminators - no touchie they were rotted, and so was the cable), switches which had never been powered off. UPS cabinets on a 480v line, and of course the step-up transformer sitting next to it with bare unshielded connectors(none of which had been tested since their install).
I'm honestly surprised the entire place didn't catch fire, and take the 8000 head of cattle with it. Oh and of course then there was the automatic feed, watering and nutrient injection system which was run off this really old 386sx. I swear it had been hit by lightening. The inside of the case looked like rats, mice, voles, and spiders had been breeding in it. They probably had been. Followed by the open ended 100ft run of cabling between one building and the other. Which rats had gotten into and chewed through both the coax, and ethernet. Man was that ever fun to re-run.
Sony security is handled with 3 chimps and a hamster. You can't expect anything more from that motley crew, except the complete works of Shakespeare done on a typewriter.
Well I just arrived. So I agree. I'm looking for this entire country of living, but dead corpses. But I haven't seen anyone running up to go snack on my brains. Well except some idol's but everyone knows they already have weird fetishes.
I could 'claim' I'm going to nuke the world from inside the earths core. That doesn't make it true. And sorry no, the average idiot blames anonymous. The general public believes that sony has no credibility.
They already do. Trucks are taxed in state, and per state on fuel for roads, plus a milage tax, plus weight, plus, plus, plus, plus. Everything is logged, fuel ticks are checked by state, fill up checks are ticked by state. And so on.
The funny thing is, it's still cheaper to ship by truck than it is by train.
No they're skills that will make or break you getting to the post-apocalyptic bit. But being a realist, I don't believe we'll be heading to that point in my lifetime.
Oh to hell with it. Have we fallen so far as a civilization that people no longer know where their food comes from? Have never seen butchering and slaughtering done? Have never killed an animal themselves, skinned, cleaned, and done their own cuts. I can probably answer myself too. Yes to all of the above.
Considering this is relating to obama? And he had to sleep 16hrs before making a choice on solid intel whether or not to go and kill him. Well....I'd say yes.
You first. After all, I'm willing to state that I'll do what's necessary to ensure that our way of life is continued. You on the other hand are more than willing to cover your head, and hope it goes away.
They do indeed have a debt bomb. It's just not the type you're going to normally expect. Go ahead, believe whatever you will. Another 5-10 years China will be in worse straits than the US.
Congratulations on failing to understand the point I made. I guess you don't understand modern construction or the flaws inherent to it compared to what humanity was doing with concrete 2000 years ago, and why what we have isn't comparable or anything. The reason why we can build skyscrapers is due in part to metalergy and our understanding of it. But we still use more concrete in day-to-day uses for buildings than steel.
Hell we can't even make a basement that doesn't leak(with weeping systems) in some form compared to what we did 150 years ago.
You mean the inability to eat what you want based upon what you think isn't a thought crime? Oh who knew. Maybe I could just say their jurisdictional fiefdom's instead?
I give you 0/10 for not understanding what's wrong with your post.

Because according to the cult of global warming, you have no privacy. They're doing this for *your* best interest.

Obviously that compute cluster is used for child porn. QUICK OFF WITH HIS HEAD!

Can we scrap the entire js system now and rebuild it from scratch so it stays inside a fucking sandbox this time?
I could 'claim' I'm going to nuke the world from inside the earths core. That doesn't make it true. And sorry no, the average idiot blames anonymous. The general public believes that sony has no credibility.
You know what? That's more plausible than anonymous doing it. I suppose it's because Sony has no credibility with the general public.
