score anotoher one for mepis. we used it at work when knoppix was locking up at the hardware detection phase when installing on a inspiron 5150. mepsi installed fine, and had qtparted, which we needed to resize the ntfs partition.
i saw mysql administrator at linuxworld in nyc yesterday, and it was freaking awesome. i got to ask a few questions of the guys there.
it will be gpl'ed, and free for download. i can tell you that it touches virtually every administrative feature of mysql, and it looks very cool. was running very nicely, the realtime graphs are silky smooth, tho i didn't ask what hardware they were using for the administrator demo.
they also said they plan on creating a similar tool, but this time for the sql query side, more similar to mysql-front. i can't wait for that one either.
the parhelia sells well in one niche area i know of: stock trading displays. dual- or triple-head trading systems are simply a matter of dropping in the card and loading one driver. it has sane multi-monitor defaults and exceptional 2d performance. the stock traders on the forums i frequent love them.
i'm sorry to inform you your pulp fiction fan club membership has been revoked.
honey bunny (amanda plummer) does not talk about blueberry pancakes. the blueberry pancake girl is butch's girlfriend, fabienne (maria de medeiros).
also, the cab scene focuses on how butch feels about killing a man. may not be appropriate for someone who rents a clean flicks film.
obontopic: i would have to side with the directors and studios on this one. this is censorship. i know, i know, the movie studios probably already have too much power in our society, but this is a total mangling of their creative output. it has the same movie name, it has the director's and the actors' names on it, but it is not what they made. if you're a parent looking to show a (say) pg-13 movie to your 9 year old, do the right thing and watch it for yourself and then decide if you can show it to your child. if it has some objectionable parts, then DON'T SHOW IT TO THEM. or do what my parents did and tell me i should cover my eyes with a blanket.:)
also, i'd like to know how certain credit issues work out. for example, in true romance i don't think brad pitt is seen on screen without marijuana or under the influence of drugs. if all his scenes are excised from the movie, do they take him out of the credits? also, legally speaking, do you think the writer is able to claim a form of misattribtuion. after all, if there are cinematically important developments in the story such as a character dying or two characters having sex that are removed, the story really is different, isn't it? in fact, it probably won't even make sense.
i read somewhere that this was a decision by lucas in an attempt to thwart piracy. obviously, that leaked cam divx of atoc came out, but i think it will work. a large part of the piracy in southeast asian countries is due simply to the fact that they have no other way to see current u.s. theatrical releases, releases that they see advertisements for on satellite tv and through other channels.
i have this charger, and use it with ni-cds and ni-mhs, and it works great. really saves money. i use nimhs in my discman and my palm, and soon in my minidisc player. i highly recommend both the charger and thomas dist.
you're thinking of cloud9.net, the nyc-area isp. cloud 9 is stil going strong. check out aol sucks too. (still a cloud 9 page, though now redirects to a different url, dunno if cloud 9 hosts that new domain, too busy to look it up.)

hey, reposting stories is a hard job. this is just displaying a certain amount of planning. why not 'officially launch' it again in february?

chrisd: always strip the information after 'ASIN/XXXXXXXXXXX/'. that way only the 'product code' is transmitted.
for example, in this situation it would be http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/B00005OCMR
hope this helps.
