"Uncompromising, sure. Idealist, hell yes, but extremist ? How so ? Does he advocate violence ? Does he say we must break laws ? "
Following the laws and not advocating violence do doesn't mean some one is not a extremist.
Look at the Westboro Church, they follow the laws, and they don't advocate violence. A lot of people say they're extremists.
I'm not 100% sure but I think this Gen Console situation is this
1.) Wii
2.) Xbox 360
3.) PS3
The 360 is beating the PS3, but the Wii is appealing to the Casual gamer. I know more people who have a Wii, and nothing else. While the 360 and PS3 appeals more to the Hardcore gamers.
Indeed, can you imagine what some bad web developer might add to their website. I could see a lot of web sites getting a lof of crap bogging down your browser as it tries to render the site.
But I think some browsers give you the option on what to load and what not to load.
The comment was more towards how people jump to conclusion that companies do something that they believe is unethicial. I myself don't believe any companies are evil, they're just doing what they can to survive.
He didn't say that there was anything wrong with the zune. It just wasn't successful as MS wanted it to be. Sure there's a lot of people out there who really like the Zune(including myself), but like you said Apple has a unshakeable grip on the market.
Why don't we just wrap it up and say most companies are evil. The bigger they are the more unethical stuff we'll point out. Sure Microsoft has done unethical stuff, but it's ran by people. People are greedy and will do anything to get richer. Google is ran by people, thus they're greedy.
What sucks is that other company will notice that this game failed, and it could of been the business plan. It would be terrible if they decide that this business plan was a poor choice and other companies might never try it again. It was a great plan for people who don't have the time to play a game all the time.
This is kind of sad, I was even planning on buying that game. Though with how many players they had playing its suprising that they are shutting down so soon.
That's about the sane reason to use twitter. I like following people who are working on projects or movies or something intresting and I can keep myself updated. Following someone who is just going to Tweet how their day was doesn't seem all that intresting.
That's pretty recent, most company are still using 3.5. Most of the.Net developer from where I work don't know much about 4.0.
I don't think MS has any plans to move away from.Net in the near future.
Where the hell do people see windows in this article? I've read it three times seeing no mention of windows. Do you people hate windows so much that you see it everywhere.
Exactly what was going through my mind.
If I could mod you up I would. But as an alternative I give you a thumbs up.

I bet the idea will be tossed in to the recycle bin within the next month. I can't imagine this game be released.

That's how the life cycle go, try to make something more secured, people will find exploit, product no long secure, loop back to beginning.

A good way to start them out is making 3d models and creating maps for games using Unreal or Source.

The New Windows Phone 7 is great and using Silverlight to develop apps for it is nice.
