I purchased three copies of the MagPi magazine with a free Pi Zero on them. Figured I'd maybe play with one of them, then see if I could make a small profit from them on eBay later...
Offers please...;-)
Scott was one of the many greedy people to profit from Stroustrup's clever industry cons! Read this revealing leaked interview (Invention of C++) from 1998 and learn the truth!
Sarcasm mode off...
Thanks Scott! You will be missed!
I have five of them, however they're still attached to the covers of the magazine they came 'free' with... I'm reluctant to remove them, and instead stick them on ebay.
I met him when I was living in Germany in the '80s. I was buying a CD at Ludwick Becks (München) and this booming voice came from behind me asking if his order (for some opera) had arrived. Turning around and realising who it was and instantly turned into a nine year-old and asked him to autograph the CD I was holding. It was a BBC audio book of LotR, and he proceeded to tell me I'd be better off reading the book...:-)
I find it amusing that the referenced article abbreviates to Oregon as "Oreg.", rather than the standard "OR", or the much older (but still used) "ORE."...
As long as they don't pronounce it "Ory-gone"....
Do you mean the Commodore 64 Master of Magic, or the Microprose PC one? Not entirely sure about the Microprose one, as I don't see it listed in his Wiki page. If you mean the Commodore 64 one, then that was Rob Hubbard I think. I played a bit of the Microprose game, but don't specifically recall anything about the soundtrack, the Commodore 64 game though - that's a different matter and that's a very memorable piece of music for me...
I like today's /. quote at the bottom of the page. It's the first helpful, or intelligent, thing anybody's said all day.
I wonder if Rick Allen of Def Leppard is sitting up and taking notice of this technology...

It's probably just my old eyes, but the spacing between words in TFA made it really difficult to read...
I'm as likely to read this as I am a typical EULA, and likely to get just as fucked either way...
Nice TARDIS in the corner there...
I'm still trying to remember my 3-digit username/password...
So... assuming you're not just trolling... If you hate Linux so much, why do you use XUbuntu at home?
whooosh....
*Ludwig....

Those whippersnappers... always complaining...
Does this mean I have to put off buying my new MacBook Pro yet again....?
This in the same week that The Clangers make a reappearance on English TV....
I hate to tell you this, but you just might have become involved in a relationship with a RealDoll (TM)....
"Here Junior, stop watchin' that porn and step over here to watch your mum and i having sex... that's what it's really like..."

You're right, I should have done my research. How can I expect my post to be taken seriously with such glaring inaccuracies?

Nice try, RMS....
That escalated quickly....
