by that claim, a porn site that gets some guys motor running shouldn't be hacked cos of its gonna further mankind ???

doing that (esp if ya don't know 100%) is almost as bad as the original spam. because you're wasting bandwidth like spam does. two wrongs don't make a right, perhaps you should send a polite e-mail to the persons isp and tell them what is happening and they can acctually do something, cos if it is correct, they can do something about it.

    Internet useage is up, sure.
but at the same time voice messages are decreasing (my guess), because of e-mail, icq and others i for one, and many flatmates and friends don't make many voice calls (besides ordering pizza :P). calls that we would usually make if we didn't have the net to talk with.

so their complaints about the possibilities of overloading (which are always possible under dire circumstances) are stupid. and doubly stupid a week after their own flat rate which will increase the useage.

altho, it at least we shouldn't have to worry too much about being kicked off because of overloading

i think i'm just gonna wait and see...

yep. also talking about profits and the oringial price it was sold for for all you non-nzers. it was sold for about $4billion (NZ) in 92 i think
so either it has or will very soon pay for itself.

Also about the line quality, when our lines went down for about a day and a half the telecom contracters had to dig up a bit of the sidewalk to get to the cables.. of which we were surprised were from 1956 (if i recall correctly). and they were not replaced at all either...
i wouldn't mind paying my bills if they money went to upgrading the wire network so the whole system will not go down like Aucklands power did last year.

i wouldn't havedisagreed with telecom too much about this cos their servece is much better than it was decades ago. but seeing as it came about a week after its own flat rate internet i am greatly pissed

i totally agree with all of the above,
    besides:

The bootleggers performed nothing short of grand theft.

in the case with the fact that the viewers would have watched the episode anyway and they want to see it i can't see how you can call it grand theft.

because they are not getting it from WB is not their choice, they are not aviding them at all.

i compare this to my getting episodes of futurama and simpsons (FOX).over here in New Zealand we are a few months behind USA. altho i am watching them off the net, when they are on TV i still watch them, so fox, and TV2 (the local Broadcaster of simpsons)will still my viewership. regaurdless of me watching it off the net or not.

and with futurama, Tv2 havn't even mentioned futurama, and i would like to watch it now, instead of months (or perhaps a year) from now, i download the episodes. and as with simpsons, as soon as futurama is shown here i will watch it and everyone will get their money.

and i beleive the viewers will still watch the buffy on tv (if they're not big fans they are not going to go to the effort of d/ling the net version)
besides the versions on the net are still not good enuff to be a complete replacement for the TV versions

I feel if they're not going to ban every word the oxford dictionary. they shouldn't ban any at all.
cos how about if i find the word 'cup' offensive will they go about banning that too?

and what are you basing this on?. you have only seen some previews, most of the movies i have seen cannot be fairly judgeed once the previews have been seen. how can you say it is deserved. perhaps it may be a good movie but you cannot yet say it. therefore you cannot say it is deserved.
hey don't get me wrong i am seeing the first showing over here(i fell to the pressure).
but i'm sure its not going to be the best movie i have seen this year.

    and finally

why can't you guys handle a little critizism?, he is not saying keep away at all cost, cos hey, hes still gonna see it, hes just commenting on the hype and how this is not in the heart that the old ones were.

your attitude reminds me of MS, there are people who think MS are the best thing since sliced bread (i don't), and can't handle any critizism,. we some is due (as we all agree)
