Yeh, that right, your time isn't free. Instead of wasting you time with your stupid laptop, spend a few more hours sat infront of the T.V. being pumped full of exection properganda and getting fat on natchos like a good boy.
Well, if you fancy lerning XUL &co you can use mozilla for more-or-less anything you like, just look at all the "extensions out there. You couldn't do that so easly with Netscape 3.
Precompiled headers can give more than a 50% performance improvement, though they don't work for a lot of things, but it kinda works with QT
In the real world pre-compiled headers, offset caching and all that kinda crap would be seemless, quick and easy, but in the GCC (portability) world they havn't quite made it yet.
Well 1: Every-time you submit a bug your helping testing. (that's goto be a couple of thousand peeps) 2: every time you post a patch you've done some development. 3: All those extensions
To quote the artical. "Firefox development and testing are mostly done by about a dozen Mozilla employees, plus a few dozen others at companies like IBM, Sun, and Red Hat. I've been using it for a week now, and I've all but forgotten about Explorer."
Looks like I'm in that 1 in 12, who are the other 11 people? they must have lots of aliases.
So, if someone patents something, I can patent the exact same thing but done with lego bricks and I'm ok? What if I use a 'server' instead of a personal computer.
What if a terminal's used for display, or even that the display is semi-intelegent and wireless.
My bed room, Every since I was a young child (25 odd years ago), i've been scattering things on the floor, and then when there's too many things I tity them up into groups, only to be scattered again when I have more space, ore some of them have been put away properly.
When I worked in a resturant we used to group meal tickets when there wasn't enough space on the 'task bar'
How about: Linux supports more processors. Linux has sysfs and procfs Linux drivers are more flexable that windows drivers. You can run a kernel in a kernel under linux You can chroot under linux The majority of linux configuration is in human readable format. If linux API documenation is missing or odd I can look at the source code to figure out whats going on.
Windows has: ActiveX (OLE), Good media handeling for things like video, Resources packed with the executables.
England was trying to break away from the church,or at least the power of the pope and catholic church, so we where heathen blasphemas who were about to drop into the dark ages again at any minute.
Spain wanted to improve there standing in the church (and therefore under the eyes of God) and take out the heathens.
We were undoubtly freedom fighters, not terrorists, King Philip was delusional, not bad, evil (go tell you doctor that you believe xyz from the bible and you'll be put on antipsycotics)
Well, I picked up any old ADSL modem, found the project to add support to it, and posted some patches that helped get thousands of people online.
I picked up a USB graphics tablet, knowing it's not too hard to write a USB driver.
etc...
When I look at harware I think, how can I get it working under Linux.
Well the google zeitgeist is still running stats from before the date 'everyone' including MSN started saying use firefox, not IE.
Lets see how many people listened.
Somebody doesn't get sarcasum.... Now that's atroll.

No, seemless - unnoticeable.
Could that be because the spent more time on portability than making it fast?

Astounded, think I'm lying, then you were wrong.
Not that it doesn't take me two seconds, but that 'Computing power is outstripping the size of source code that needs to be compiled.'

Last time I checked you can pick up HD storage space for $0.70 a GB.
To get joe user to install the CA certificate, just put a link on your page with something like.
"To stop the anoying messages you must install the following certifiacte.
I agree."
Joe User will happly click on 'I Agree' and your away.
(p.s. don't forget to put a trogan in the link too, Joe User will install that without any quarms)

Like my brain isn't a computer.
The food order printouts came from a computer too.
How about the blue screen, then no other OS's would ever be able to crash.
I may patent the process of getting a stupid patent through the patent office and then start inforcing it. opps to late.

Do they try to kill men by driving there cars into them? and giving them the wrong directions so they fall into a cannal.
I think I know a few members, Maybe I should call the police?
Tax breaks for the top earners (or you if you get that far) help:
Draw the top earners to the country. (there's a reason they get so much money, and it's not because there crap.)
Allow the top earners put more invetment into the things they think are good to invest in.
and probably a few other things.
The prople is, when the 'top earners' got there by being in someones pocket, or being the child of xyz and not by being shit hot.
Oh.. and I'm liberal far left. (In my world you wouldn't have to be in someones pocket, everything would be free).

In the real world we call this a binary search..
Middle, bottom right, bottom middle, top middle.
Direct Line motor insurance
Try getting a policy without going through HTTPS, which sends 'garbled alpha-numeric characters' using the same idea as pgp.
step 1: copy to a new tape.... Lots of tapes, lots of care and attention, may take till asy november.
I sure that databases have been around longer than disks.
The thing is, it wouldn't supprise me if new data was on old crap tape, because of budget problems etc...
