    Just today I was a full version of Delphi 7 personal addition on the cover of a magazine.

    I have copies of CBuilder, Delphi, Visual Prologue, Lisp, a variety of java development tools all from magazines purchased in the last three years.

    Failing that download the JDK, DJGPP, MigWin, Linux etc.....

    header files contain facts and not function or art (except for any comments I suppose).

    Weight is still in Stones.
    etc....
    The UK is part of the US, or at least that's what it looks like from my political perspective.

    Metric is used for scientific things....
    Imperial is used for real world things....

    Many moons ago there was a file format called PCX, it was quite simple, fast and used by a fair amount of software.

    Then there was TGA if you wanted more than 256 colours.

    and LBM, the image format of the Amiga.

    I think TIFF may be dead too.

    You can find key skills and work out how good someone is at that skill.
    You could test empathy, visualisation etc...

    I don't think the extra hooks would bloat the kernel that much, infact they would introduce less bloat than your suggestion.
