    I've been wondering about this for a very long time too and it's probably the same reason they voted for Hitler. They only care about themselfs and there imidiate interests and don't give a shit about anyone else. Here in the UK you can see those kind of people out every weekend getting pissed up and starting fights (There usually the ones wearing shirts). I've found them to be the vast majority and totally ignorant to the world around them.

    Having foreign keys, views, subselects, and transactions can all be very attractive in PostgreSql -
    if you need them and you will make any use of them. If you don't need them or won't use them, then
    you're probably better off with MySQL and its superior performance.


    PostgreSql is more stable than MySQL, (and has better performance when saturated), shouldn't you take that into consideration?

    MySQL doesn't work on the new version of Ubuntu!

    There's a big difference, the same people that make the Linux kernel, or Ubuntu aren't the same people who make MySQL.

    Who defines 1!=0? There is no entity that can choose 1=0 through an act of it's own will. To a believer of a universal morality, your question is nonsensical.

    Suicide bombers believe what they are doing is Good, I think you'll find there's no such thing as a universal morality. e.g. Muslims believe and eye for and eye, but Christians believe you should turn the other cheek.

    That's not to the point at all. It's more like watching porn stars leading to an interest in "reality" porn.

    It is the point, what are we trying to protect?

    If were trying to protect kids then looking at kiddie porn doesn't actually harm those children it's the making of the porn that's the problem.

    I also believe that rapeiests and murders don't usually go out and rape and murder just because they've seen something on TV or played a video game, there already prety fucked up in the first place and would probablbly have killed and raped without minor things that work with their perversion.

    Peace and love man... Yes , rehabilitation is where its at as the triumpant success of this liberal policy over the last few decades has shown ... oh wait....

    The right wingers seem to mention the liberal policy all the time but I'd like to ask which liberal policy are they refering to? we seem to be locking more people up all the time and it isn't doing any good.

    Maybe if there was a real liberal policy inplace you would see the difference.

    You can still look at the percentages. I expect that their sample is large enough to be statistically significant even without Wal-Mart and online sales (do people who shop at Wal-Mart have that different purchasing stratergies to everyone else?)

    My girlfriend's intersted in the PS3 because of it's potential to become a media centre. There are plenty of people that would fork our $599 for a Blueray, media centre, games console. (just look at the number of people who pay more than that for a TV!)

    Maybe it's only the black people who wear pink shirts that commit crimes. So even if you took a sample of IT workers and found out that the black ones commited more crimes but missed the fact that they were all wearing pink shirts your sample is going to be out.

    At the end of the day samples are always going to be out, but you have to work with the best statistics you've got to hand.
