We work overtime when needed, there is alot of support for balancing work and life. Telecommuting is a big plus, as is flexible work hours. As long as I make netmeetings and conference calls and hit my targets, they don't care when I get the work done.
I was being sarcastic. I think anyone who abuses authority granted to them by the people of the USA should be shot in the face, and a bill for the bullet sent to their family. Corrupt cops and any other cops covering up for them, corrupt politicians and the people who cover for them, etc...
Assuming we recycle more, but the tree-planting remains constant, I believe we would cause the carbon in the atmosphere to drop. There is no single thing to be done to adjust this complex system.
How about removing a step, and working on releasing less carbon into the environment in the first place? You're over-complicating the issue in order to preserve your lifestyle.
Remember, light trucks get a pass on pollution from the Auto-Industry-Friendly US government. Their emissions standards are much more lax than a passaenger car.
