Do you play the Nintendo modded maps in CS:S to avoid color-depravation?

We called it "trike" back in the early 90's until it was quickly replaced with a different solvent due to trike being dangerous. Good thing we didn't pour it out of 5-gallon buckets onto our liquid-cooled TWTs to get the ethylene glycol off it when the hoses leaked or came off. That explains why I can do anything a spider can I spose...

Reminds me of a quote from Jack Handy (SNL): "I think Superman and Santa Claus are actually the same guy and I’ll tell you why. Both fly both wear red and both have a beard." Stargate and CB&A are similar but only superficially. A better but still lame comparison would be the Twilight Zone Episode "To Serve Man" and CB&A. ...ironically we use the last-four digits to identify people instead of the SSN, but if the first five can be derived from location data then the last four are the part you wouldn't want to divulge. Interestinly, I work for the DoD so why should I expect their policies to make any sense in the first place? Meh, I'll post my DNA to the Internets in a coupel of days to get this out of the way...

  5. Is it practical? on A High-Bandwidth Interplanetary Connection · · Score: 0

While this seems simple enough, maintaining a laser oriented at Mars while each planet rotates on its own axis and around the sun would made this impractical unless there were multiple transmitters/receivers at each location/node along with a terrestrial network to interconnect them.

  6. Re:Yup :( on Internet Use Found To Affect Memory · · Score: 0

We discussed this at work a few days ago, how the Internet and googling answers/facts has made everyone reliant on it. This is great for when there's time to look something up but it's a huge crutch when one needs to think on his/her feet or provide a timely answer and the Internet is unavailable. I've seen junior folks who were excellent at their job running things and making their bosses go to them to get things done...if they had to stop to go google things they'd have no credibility at all. I learned a long time ago that knowing things equals having power, don't rely on googling...we must know stuff.

A little off topic but didn't the Space Shuttle use QNX as their OS? I know some of their satellites do but I thought their prime mover did as well. Meh, with everything important on Windows (e.g. NASA and SCADA among others) it keeps the haxors away from my Mac

What does CDMA have to do with anything? It has more to do with their respective network back-ends than the front end (e.g. cellular technology) coupled with number of users and data requests.

Yeah, I was gonna call BS on this one...the OP prolly installed it as a joke but I highly doubt any professional would install this...unless Qwest is hiring out of work crack-heads and hookers to do their installs on the cheap.

Only problem is that I haven't seen a worthy replacement for Facebook to migrate to, yet. Sure, I'd love a place to post stuff to my network of friends without having to worry about my mother/nosey uncle/boss reading it, but there doesn't seem to be anything out there that seems superior.

What about Ping? (yes I'm being sarcastic)
