The only glitches I still have are dock related. No hot or warm docking/undocking, CD drive accesses at only 4X (on the dock) and the USB ports on the dock don't work. But no Powerbook has a dock anyway, another strike against a Mac.
Check your facts. I've got both a 15" Tibook and a 12" Aluminum Powerbook, both sitting plugged into their docks, and they hot dock just fine.
Look it up, it's faster than asking:

Forget the source code. Opening up windows source code gets you a big fucking mess, and not much more. The thing that would make the most difference is full documentation on the file formats for their office suite. Once these are available, then people can write a better word than word. It's interoperating with microsoft software that is the kicker. Who wants to fix their bugs?
Don't underestimate your kids by teaching them something that you consider sub-par. If they want to learn to program like their old man, there is nothing that should prevent them from programing in a shell account from their windows box. I think it's great that they want to learn, so give them the best tools you know. Believe me, they'll learn faster than you can teach them if they decided they like it!
I think this is an excellent idea, except for the fact that this is an international forum. Perhaps a seperate area where this can take place would be better and not all mixed in with the rest of the slashdot news.
I would love a nice collection of links that focus on the candidates since I'm too fscking lazy to spend hours tracking down decent information myself...
Hit the wrong button. I meant to add this as a source for the docks I was talking about:

You mean like a Federal Supreme Court Judge?
There are a number of USB irda readers out there for Mac. As several have noted, check http://guide.apple.com/action.lasso?-database=maco sguide&-layout=cgi_detail&-response=/ussearch/deta il.html&prodkey=55651&-search for one example. But I have another question, since I'm a diver using a Mac as well, which computer did you buy?
Just fer the record.
I don't think it will go deep, but this one will:
