I have to agree. This is why I never talk about games with others or mention that I like console A better than console B for whatever reason. The amount of gamers (not all) who will go out of there way to be upset with you can be very annoying sometimes.

That's the impression I got of it. They probably are purposely vague since apparently it isn't anything new and has already been done. Sometimes being vague and talking about how great something is without really explaining it will sometimes get people to beleive it is something new when in fact is isn't.

Guilty until proven innocent is never the way to go. Also the US government spends more time spying on its own people than they do actual suspected terrorists. That alone should be alarming. I don't see why so many people support a government that does things like this since it is always abused and all they want is power. It's like the old saying goes, "Power corrupts, and absolute power corrupts absolutely".

The problem is that if something isn't sending out the right code or it can't be indentified it will usually get shot down. Also considering it is a war zone right now I don't think anyone should be flying over that air space anyways. What they did was wrong of course, but airlines shouldn't take these kinds of chances with their passengers anyways.

I see your point, but the problem is that at some point this was going to happen. It is a war zone after all and I am surprised it hasn't happened more often. If a military can't get an ID an something they will shoot it down anways since chances are it is the enemy. It is a sad tragic thing since this can cause civilians to die.

Sometimes a military force will shoot first and ask questions later since they are so scared of their enemies possibly getting the jump on them. Many innocent people die that way, but I don't need to tell you that you probably already knew.

I am constantly playing around with VMs and what not and love playing with various systems. So what happens to nerds like me who just happen to use a lot of bandwidth just tinkering? I think this is ridiculous on so many levels. Besides just because torrents are being used doesn't mean you are doing something illegal. A lot of free software is shared via torrents. Well I am just preaching to the choir here you all know what I am getting at. Either way what you do with your connection to the internet is no one else's business.
