Hey guys I am from Poland and guess what? I can more or less speak english and even know how to post on Slashdot.
And there's more. We do embedded software and hardware here, we know Linux and it's been that way for years already.
So it's not different compared to where you live. And as for dell, easy come easy go. They won't stay here longer than 3-4 years and eventualy will continue moving east.
It's actually very simple. Here's what they need to do in two simple steps:
1. They should tell all manufacturers of WLAN equipment that are based in China (90% or so of all wlan manufacturers) to implement WAPI (remember, they are in China so they have to do what their government asks them to or they will be down. Oh wait, it's not very much different in USA anyway.).
2. They should tell all manufacturers of WLAN equipment that are based in China to drop support for 802.11i, or whatever else shouldn't be there.
Now, after about a year or so they will have a de facto wireless encryption standard named WAPI. Like it or not, that's the most efficient way to do this.
If you're about to go after someone who violates GPL go after big boys like Realtek. Their RTL8181 SOC is based on linux yet they refuse to release full source code.
They have millions of dollars of income so they're in a good position to become a target for a lawsuit. I think it's just a matter of time before some greedy lawyers smell the money out of that and go after them for millions of dollars.
And then they'll donate that millions to the community.;) Ya right.
You give your account number to everyone you pay with personal check, it's printed on it. Do you consider that as a security breach too?
Other than that, you're not allowed to have two personal Paypal accounts. Once they find you doing that (and they seem to have some krad-sophisticated-systems for that) you'll end having both accounts suspended and banned from using their service.
I take the challenge, come over.

Broadcom wireless chipsets are crap. And I am speaking out of real embedded system design experience here.
Gotta fire my admin for snooping on monday. Suddenly.
Damn you Intel ! You screw up again!
Screw You Guys, I'm Going Home!
