if the situation needs, I got pissed off at our IT dude trying to bounce a wifi signal over 5 repeaters though real 3 hour fire walls and steel beams, I swiped a box of cat3 out of the storage closet and even though its 10mbs, that's 10x faster than our internet and I don't have to hear "my email doesn't work" 50 fucking times a day

It started before microsoft was anything to worry about, the IBM PC was a huge success, so much so it was cloned by everyfuckingbody, and well if you wanted a IBM PC compatible it had to run its OS of choice
If anything I would blame the case badges from the xt-at IBM PC's which was PC visually dominating the thing
all consumer grade speakers suck, they never use big enough drivers and never enough air volume so you end up with tin cans and a floppy sub that instadistorts whenever a female voice comes though for the ultimate in ass
buy a decent monitor set, or if that is out of your budget at least get some beefy drivers and do a little bit of math to make a correct size enclosure
yea dude builds drum out of cans, uses it to focus only specialized frequency's to a fine point in front, no one really cares, out side of the "look what this dude did" factor
I dont remember what they called it but it was some form of jell in a cube and they were beaming lasers through it to toggle bits.... this is probably drive me nuts today

Amazon attempted to avoid being required to collect Tennessee sales tax during negotiations with economic development officials to build two warehouses outside of Chattanooga. Amazon argues that its warehouses are not directly affiliated with the company and thus do not create a nexus that would require the collection of sales taxes.
I understand all of that (to a point) but its a pretty shitty attitude to have on day one, and does add any well wishes towards finding a happy medium, it comes off as their way or we will take our ball and run... and eventually they will have no where to go and a bunch of grumpy states reluctant to deal with them
whatever though its their future, and just like anything else on the tubes, one slip and we wont even remember they existed 6 months later
I would argue different, Amazon recently came to my state looking to put in warehouses, on one condition, that Tennessee would not collect sales taxes, if we did not agree they would move the fuck on down the road... and they have a history of moving state to state to keep this type of situation in their favor
you know they have warehouses scattered about the entire country right? So how is it any different than other e stores, for example if I buy from newegg I pay sales tax, its not a company based in my state, but they do have a warehouse located 3 hours southwest from me
Its also our fault that after 30 years we are still getting excited over a space walk, cause we let the program stagnate and not progress much if at all since 1978

that is not what property tax is for, I pay property tax so I should not pay sales tax either?
