    im buying 3ghz 2 gig core 2 duo's with w7 installed for 99 bucks a pop (off lease IBM pizzaboxes)

    they aint the fastest machine at the track, but more than enough for office and email

    so whats the fucking problem?

    about 700 bucks .... only game it doesnt run at maxed out settings (instead its 1 notch below maxed out) is crysis 3 all in true 1920x1080 resolution, using a 189$ video card from 2010

    so its not that big of a cost difference, it performs leaps and bounds better than either next gen console, and I can be running a game, 3d cad, electronic design software or even just word or a web browser on it so its functionality severely outweighs anything the toys offer

    I know there is a place and market for consoles, they are not for me, but I dont crusade against them by painting with a broad brush

    thats the thing, PC's are not cheap, they are almost free, when you can get a ok speed little office box for about the same cost as a win 7 license, why bother

    resolution is really not even that big of a deal (course you would know that if you have used one... ever) its input lag, poor focus, weight, cables and refresh rate.

    POTS has a hard limit on the amount of connections it can make as well, ever heard "all circuits are busy"

    theres only so many wires and relays in a POTS system

    dunno maybe its just me, but when floating around in space I wouldn't want a suit made of dark blue or grey with goffy swooshes on it, make that thing neon and coat it in a reflective layer so I light up like a road sign if the rope breaks
