that's pretty much what we do in house, machine generating the image data stores locally and on schedule a server pulls the data, that server gets incrementally backed up offsite when no one is around.

problem with having systems rely on a network to function is you can halt production or loose valuable data (cause that massive failure that got to the customers customer WILL happen while your connection is down)

they are not even banned from dealerships, Tesla wants to skip the middle man and run their own dealerships, and there are reasons for our own good that automakers are not allowed to.

The only reason you can even afford a car is cause all those independent dealers are out there slitting eachother's throat.

Good job guys, thats how you dominate the handheld market, not that pussy shit like Nintendo did ... backwards compatibility for damn near 30 years and a great library of games, no sir! its fucking usb cables and controller sales!

PDA's had already blown up and went away by the time the iPhone came out, without network connections they were useless, and a number of units before the iPhone proved that point.

Lets also not kid outselves, without the latest n greatest technology your iPhone would be 3/4 inch thick, contain a resistive touch 65k color screen and run for 3 hours on a 1 lb battery. People want stuff that works, but they also want stuff that doesnt suck so having the latest zippy, or the biggest gb is very much a part of product appeal (apple gets that, dont know why IT guy doesnt)
