    its in any industry, our senior developer looks at a vuege outline and boast's I can knock that out in a week!

    of course we work in hardware, so you have all this screwball stuff that your actually programming for, not just software, stuff gets mixed up, the API to the test gear is retarded, no one can nail down a spec, is it a software bug or a hardware bug blah blah blah, and it ends up taking a month.

    I always wonder why he says that, he KNOWS we will take a week just tracing down a bug

    my work laptop gets suspended every night, its been over a year since its "booted"

    and even if I boot a machine from the dead cold, screw it, I go get a cup of coffee and its done before I return

    1) dos is not a programming language, you dont base something on DOS, DOS is an OS, you run programs with it

    I dont really hate that thats happening, once upon a time people that used pc's actually controlled the market, then the influx of the normal's came in needing peeeceees to aol their email on the webernet. That's when stuff started really going downhill, we have spent so much effort dumbing down the computer for people who get confused by a toaster that our entire UI is now "durh hurh hur facebook button on screen".

    Let those people move to phones and tablets, pray they never need to use a PC again then maybe the industry can again focus on making the personal computer a powerful tool, instead of a dumb-ass toy

    no clue, its not even on the books as of yet, what I think is that yes there are some totally helpless people, and they are just leeches. Then there are people who are overwhelmed.

    This kind of sorts the people out, if you and your child really dont care, get a job, else here is a series of steps you and your student can do to improve their education, show effort and we should help you.
