    Fun Fact: most NATO countries allowed women in combat over 30 years ago. They actually do make better combat fighter pilots, according to objective measures.

    Allowing $group to do $job is very different from mandating a percentage of $group do $job.

    Because Apple makes money on the hardware so they can give away the software for free.

  10. It is a bizarre fact, that anything that is even vaguely competitive and can be commericalised as a form of entertainment, counts as 'sport' in the US. I think the most eye-watering example of this, so far, is the eating competitions; the sight of blubbery blokes engulfing vast amounts of fast food in the shortest time possible - and being called 'athletes' - sent me straight to the salad bowl for a week. Sport indeed.

    The best competitve eaters aren't "blubbery blokes". The fat actually gets in the way of their stomach expanding so they can't eat as much as others.

    Source: I've done a lot of user testing, and in fact, the whole point of User Testing is that just because a developer/designer/product owner feels X is the best way of doing things, that may not be how the audience in general feels.

    Otherwise how is is supposed to the know the different between a video you don't want to watch and a video you aren't going to watch right now?

    I got news for you, assholes... NOBODY buys windows to get locked into using only certain apps... they buy it to have a more CHOICES...

    There's a reason Apple has lost market share in schools in recent years, and it's not just the cost of hardware.

    Then why do Chromebooks do so well in that market? People aren't installing Crouton on them.

    All it means is that websites will write their own version, some already have.
