Cover your walls in printouts of goatse.cx. That way no one will want to be near you, and you can easily use the space in the walkway for your overflow stuff:) You might even get to commandeer the cubicle oppisite yours because the guy will be vomiting in the bathroom half the day.
will they still use chemical launches? the article is unclear..
if they wont then this is good news for the critters that live around the launch pad. ever seen the pics of the animals that got blasted by the escaping gasses and flew a few hundred feet, then *splat* on a fence? lol
yeah, thats my point. Microsoft panicks them with possible budgeting problems, then turns around and says 'oh, no, its ok for you to upgrade now if money was your problem etc'. granted its not hard to work the beancounters, but MS does a grand job of it.
KDE/GNOME arent even considered at work because they dont cost money. as stupid as it sounds, if they charged for it we would probally use it. go fig. so KDE/GNOME dont even get a chance to play the beancounter game.
Im sure the bean counters will like this. I hate to defend Microsoft, but this is some slick work actually. At work we considered not upgrading 100+ PCs next quarter because of this years budget and I know we werent alone. Im curious as to the reaction come Monday at work.
Like them or not, Microsoft does know how to work the beancounters..something KDE and GNOME really cant do yet.:/
Those vests are wierd. I got one years ago when they first came out to play on my SNES with I think. Its not all that really, but it is cool to listen to music with since its like wearing a sub.
I'm selling it on EBay right now here with some other game gear. Might check it out if you want
Essential Reality used to give away free t-shirts from their website to who ever wanted it, and the developers were pretty attentive when I emailed them...like a year ago. I'm surprised this hasnt been on slashdot before.
BTW. the t-shirts are cool..black and green and shiny silver! You have to register and win them now though:(
I used to use Hotline like 4 years ago? I don't even remember but it was around the betas. I still love Hotline though for my 140K/sec d/les I used to get over it.
*nostalgic sigh*
I don't have any respect for Rox. I used to have a few chat logs supposedly of him basically saying he didn't care about his users etc. What a bastard compared to Hinks.
He was the first programmer of any decent software (that I've seen!) that you actually easily talk to on a consistant basis and would be attentive to what you wanted.
And now I d/led the Hotline Client 1.8.4 the other day, and everything is (A)banner scams and (B) PC war3z servers. Ugh...
&LOL I remember I used hotline to d/l like 3/4 of every Pink Floyd album there was on a 33.6 over spring break one year.
I saw a picture of two Kiwis who had Tux on thier forearms but lost the URL:(
I think a Chuck tat would be alot nicer looking than a Tux IMHO. And if you were really into mods, get his eyes done in UV or glow in the dark ink. Yeah it can really mess your skin up, but you'd have a devil with glowing eyes *drool*
I dunno if it would really be possible to tell right now (since its not out yet)...but since the Dreamcast speaks TCP/IP, it would be possible to put one of these behind an IPNAT box, right? I don't really see why the games wouldn't work...but after having ICQ barf from my firewall, I don't think I'm the best to be talking about IPNAT rules.
If not...grr. I really don't want to keep using my old dialup conenction on it.
but periods of extra sleep cannot "make up" for lost sleep.
It's true...I slept for 16 hours today to try and make up for not sleeping any for 2 days since I had been to tired to get first post. I planned to sleep alot to make up for it, and get first post today...but instead I forgot and got #71.
I'll go ahead and get the stupid responses out of the way:
1 - This is good. It will catch paedophiles. You do you want your children safe, don't you?
2 - So what if it means the government has access to your encrypted files. You shouldn't have any illegal files inthe first place, and by encrypting anything you might as well be sticking up a flashing light and big flag above your house saying "Woo! Mr. Policeman! I am a criminal and wish to harm others!"
3 - Only dirty evil hackers want privacy. If this prevents fæRym4n from hacking into the missle control systems using your grandmas stolen credit card numbers...then good! Joe Citizen has nothing to fear since we only want to protect you from yourself.
I "graduated" from DARE the first year it came out. Granted it has changed since then, but
when I look back at it, the majority of things tought were either outright lies or didn't work.
My mother (Hi mom) was on the local DARE board, then finally quit and told me she didn't think it was doing any good.
(People in gerneral and) Teens are going to do drugs if they want to. Nothing is going to change that. They will overdose on heroin and die, get drunk and drive and die, get addicted to tobacco at age 14, etc.
Trying to force them to do otherwise will make some want to do it even more. I don't see programs like DARE or 'get tough on crime' doing anything to help, but rather I think education is the key. Sites like Erowid or Rhodium can do more good through education than fear-mongering can do.
How is this different than when a computer comes with a non-Linux OS appears on your network. Say I boot my G4 up and happily share my printer or let my workgroup mount a hard drive via Appletalk. I take it, that under DiComo's rules...I'd be fired for not using a Microsoft solution. What if I used a Mac SMB client, or SAMBA if I ran LinuxPPC? Would I be fired then too?
*le grr*
This is more of a problem with restrictive IT managers who can't see there's more than one tool for a job than it is with/just/ Linux "appearing" on a network.
nah..crazy black male rappers who headbutt people isnt my kind of music.
Everyone but the scientists know the moon wasnt formed by an object impacting Earth. Its just compressed interplanetary curdled milk! DUH!

i can listen to my rap music (KBXX 97.9) again at work and have everyone make fun of me!

So does this mean I can program my opensource GORILLA.BAS?
Sweet

4 - All Kiwis are backwards anyway. Who cares?
With that said, discuss!
..I can't program an open source GORILLA.BAS for Gnulix?
*cries*

(&DiComo looks like a troll.)
...they'd be running around chanting 'first lock d00d!' and pouring hot grits down each others pants right now.
But then Taco^H^H^H^Hthe project leader would bitchslap them and make them all get back to work. *sigh*
Just what the fuck are you saying!
*shakes you*
make sense before replying to me son.
