  3. Grrr. on Canadian Media Companies Target CBC's Free Music Site · · Score: 5, Insightful

I am so freaking sick of private companies who believe the only way to protect their profits is to legislate against other organisations threatening their market share. And I'm sick of governments and courts indulging them. Take it as an opportunity to better your services and provide something that CBC (or whoever you're whining about) doesn't - there are hundreds of ideas out there. You may actually surprise yourself and become more successful than you ever imagined.

  5. Governments maybe, but the other two? on Sergey Brin Says Facebook, Apple and Gov't Biggest Threats To Internet Freedom · · Score: 5, Insightful

Seriously, how are Facebook and Apple threatening the freedom of the internet? Sure, I'm restricted if I'm using Facebook or Apple technologies, but there are literally thousands of places I can post and do whatever I want. The internet is a very big place.

Also, the other day I tried to sign up for a second Google+ account but it didn't like the names I was choosing because it didn't consider them "real" names. Seems a bit rich to be accusing others of limiting freedom.

So many questions, but the first of them all is "why would I now buy a Samsung TV"? I mean, I think they make a pretty decent TV, but they're not good enough to invite all of Samsung and its affiliates into my living room. What am I getting out the exchange here?

The other day I was driving to return a DVD and I crashed my car into a lamp post because the cops were chasing me. I quickly jumped out and ran to the nearest car and pulled the guy out of it. Without video games I may have never had the inspiration I needed in order to avoid a costly late fee on my DVD.
