It would seem they're not quite perfected yet as they only survive for 2 years on average! Its amazing the balance that is somewhat maintained in our own little ecosphere!
Couldn't this "bug" simply be a video camera? That would be even worse than fingerprints as you would only need to spot someone walking in a public place to capture this biometric information.
My post was actually intended as being somewhat tongue in cheek (I'm as big a Google fan as the next/.er) but regardless, Google does seem to be taking Microsoft head on and out doing them in many areas that MS used to dominate.
If they do infact release an Instant Messenger, it will be very interesting to see what new functionality they can come up with!
Anyway it will be interesting to see what packages Sony comes up with when PS3 is released... maybe they'll make everyone buy it with a Spiderman bluray:-|
Hmmm. I wonder how much it will be in New Zealand... The PS2 originally went for about $1000 NZD when it first came out here - that would've been about $500 USD back then >_<
Do you really believe that less discs will equal lower prices? I think you're forgetting who you're dealing with.
If he's gonna dress up like the guy it would be nice to see a picture.
Google images link for the lazy.
Actually this review from Carl Sagan on the same site is probably a more interesting read:

I found the ecosphere image quite interesting.. here's a page describing what looks to be a similar thing:

He would appear to be just another xbox 360 weenie predicting impending doom for Sony.
I gotta say the xbox 360 looks nice from the specs.. but I haven't seen one game that would make me drop that kinda cash.
