The number one reason to dislike FPS on consoles is the lack of a mouse. Add it, and I'm all up for playing it on any console.

    Why would they do that?

It makes it easier for the average customer if they can view the online gameplay as a part of the game, without worrying about servers, connections and other alien terminology. (Yes, it IS alien for the average mortal.)

Besides, I've had more problem with playing Half-Life online than using Battle.net.

    Yeah right.

So Blizzard should release source code to satisfy programmers, who Slashrants(tm) how evil Blizzard is anyway? What good would that do Blizzard?

    1. Paving the way for pirating coming and existing Blizzard titles.

I really don't believe, nor hope, this will happen.

Actually, no. The speed of a photon is always c. However, when a photon is absorbed and reemitted (as happens a lot when you send light throug glass, gasses and any other medium), it will use more time to travel through the medium than vacum.

But the extra time used, it does not spend as a photon - it's spend as absorbed energy in the medium.

As the photon again reemerges, it's got the speed c.

  10. better quality on New "mp3PRO" From Fraunhofer, But What About LAME? · · Score: 1
I -do- want high-quality downloadable (freely or not) music.
Now, "halved storage space" might be turned the other way around to (IMO (and probably yours too) the more important) "doubled music quality". If they can get the mp3 128kbps quality at 64kbps with mp3PRO, it means they are actually working to improve the quality of the music. Double it, if you will.

So don't be so negative. It works the way -you- want too =)

(Looking at most of the posts here, this is perhaps the most mistunderstood aspect?)
