    They were saying methane is disgusting because it's in dog poop and I was pointing out that many people cook on methane.

    That reminds me of those stop smoking commercials. The one where they say cigarettes contain methane also found in dog poop.... It always makes me giggle because the people that use that argument also pay to have way more methane than in a pack cigarettes pumped into their houses to cook on, heat their water, and heat their homes every day.

    Everything doesn't but a project looking for money could become self sustaining if it had something to monetize and cut out the need to find private or government funding.

    SETI has always kind of baffled me. If they were to advance the technology they use in order to further their goals by widening the search they may have something to monetize.

    Why am I imagining seeing moded GPS systems show up. Look my GPS mod shows your location and the Boston police the latest algorithm also suggests routes to avoid them.

Carefully they leave no trace of their visit and propagate the mystery what happen to Mar's resources.

    the basic arrays, generic list, etc... are all 0 I can't think of anything in the .Net framework itself that indexes at 1 but I've seen 3rd party classes with indexes that start at 1 and it is annoying.

    In the past few months, we have received some complaints about the site where the GIMP installers for the Microsoft Windows platforms are hosted.

    SourceForge, once a useful and trustworthy place to develop and host FLOSS applications, has faced a problem with the ads they allow on their sites - the green "Download here" buttons that appear on many, many adds leading to all kinds of unwanted utilities have been spotted there as well.

    I've seen those ads on the sf pages as well and am not fond of them but sf doesn't offer a premium developer account that provides ad free project and download pages.

    I said "may" but I think what you noticed I left out is that you need to be a manipulative genius to get them to report what you want them to. {Some CEOs are really good at that but not from some random little company}

    There are other questions to be considered as well, like "What is your goal?". If you file with the intention of drawing attention to the issue then you may achieve that goal even if it is never heard in any court the case could still be tried in public opinion with the help of the media.

    I've thought about getting involved in some of the more established projects, what I found was a large codebase and not a lot of documentation. I just don't have the time required to play that much catchup so they get bug reports when I see them. If I ever manage to retire, I won't be bored cause then I'll have the time.

    I have had that same conversation with a manager, he also mentioned summaries for technical issues should be brief high level overviews even for other techs.

    This is what I'm talking about, you still haven't met the user's needs.... it would alternate between facebook, ebay, and addicting games with a hot-key that does their job for them.

    The article doesn't say that it infected the SCADA system on the ISS he was using it as an example of how stuxnet got into a nuclear power plant. If you search google the only stories with any details are for non-critical systems and laptops brought up to the ISS having infection.

    I agree... Even if it's just purchasing a solution, you really don't know what the user's needs are until you take some time to figure out what they really do. {I mean beyond the broad over view you get when you ask them}
