vb6 would be great, but if they ever open sourced it i bet some critical components would not be open sourced. Like the IDE, and some (very essetial) database connectors. In my team there is still a vb6 application that we need to support, and open sourceing it would mean the step to the next os (windows xx) would still be supported.
Everybody thinks that vb6 is not supported, but some working business application still use it, and migrating those applications to.Net will cost money without a business justification.

Beside that, destroying the disk yourself is more reliable that outsourcing it. If the data is leaked it is your problem. The fact that the data destroying company might loose their reputation, does not give your company its reputation back. If you want to outsource this anyway, let them destry the archives on-site.

Since Nuclear power is statisticstically safe, and the power plants would have shutdown in the earthquake it is very unlikely that such a disaster really happened there. All that we can see is that real news is censored, everybody in a wide area was moved away, A No fly zone was erected , even as radiation at high altitudes is completely neglect able,and independand research are kept a great distance.

YOu have to root a a device to do that. network operators/phone creators block you from rooting the device.
And as sugar on the cake, the Priceton IT staff only block the wifi, they cannot block 3g because that is owned by ..... network operators.
