    Actually, apart from the fact that token ring works rather differently (it relies on a virtual token being passed from host to host), this could be arranged in a star shape to, provided you have enough pci/agp/whatever slots.

    I haven't tried it on 2000, but on '95 osr1, it only resized the letters in a few of the possible places (no, i'm not talking about apps).

    Windows resolution independant? You could write an app resoulution independantly, but that's not all. Just setting "Use large fonts" is not going to do a lot of good at 3200x2400.

    And I might as wel respond proactively to the comment that you *are* going to get porn forced on to you by using the net. It just plain isn't true. As long as you don't go to warez sites etc, you won't even see a single sex banner. Just think, and you can avoid porn completely if you want to. most don't want to, but you can if you want.

    What's the big deal? I've seen porn since I was pretty young, and I think it's a safe guess to say that porn is available to all kids, even though they might have had to do a bit more effort for it before the internet.

    But getting back to the point, what's the problem, as long as it isn't forced on you, I can't think of any examples that seeing porn voluntarly causes disorders/traumas/whatever. Look at me, I turned out alright, except for the fact that I post to slashdot.

    Your point being? I believe in free speech and riot police too (Heck, I've seen 'em! :-) ). I fully support free speech, but I don't support large-scale vandalism and looting. against the first the riot police shouldn't be used, against the second it should.

    Not quite as easy.... You need to set up cron to periodicly run sendmail to empty the queue. Else, if a mail fails, it will remain stuck in the queue for eternity.

    Actually, I quite like the pseudo-anonimity of a dynamic ip. (D)DNS works fine for me. True, dns needs to change big-time, but still....

    Bollocks. Entropy always increases only in a closed system. If since a lifeform is not a closed system, very ordered systems can occur. And will, as you see.

    I was watching the real-video, and as they said I should get drunk to watch it, I did. (I follow their commands blindly, since they released the slash source code. So now I've finished half a bottle of the cheapest scotch ever, and I must say, it really does make the award 'ceremony' more pleasurable. Actually, the feed just died a few minutes ago, but who cares? :-)

    True, you should always check if something is true or false. But statisticly speaking (like our dear microsoft so likes to do), if something nice is being said about ms, it's usually microsoft 'sponsoring' it or something like that.
