I don't understand, how provocative can you be with those tiny "Like" buttons? Maybe enough space to show 1/5th of a nipple? Perhaps they just color it with a skin tone to give people the impression they're looking at a naked button.
It all plays into people's inability to budget properly. Even someone flipping burgers can afford quality living when they're utilizing their funds wisely.
Vimes may have needed to go on cheap boots for a while, but after a while of saving up, he can afford to get the good stuff, and with proper budgeting, he wouldn't ever have to worry about going back to the cheap stuff again.
This is particularly ironic given that the majority of people engaging in conversation here are adult males who can't dream of getting any girl, be she 14 or 24 or 34.
That's just because they're looking at the wrong side of the spectrum. Why, I can see them having much success hooking up with the 64s, 74s, and, yes, sometimes even 84s!
I'm aware that the "off" switch is there for a reason, and forcing it to stay inactive is probably going to have some nasty side effects. Am I correct in this?
Pardon my lack of complete knowledge here. I'm just IT for a cancer genomics group that just picks up stuff here and there. So I'm a bit aware that there's several points in a pathway that can be blocked, with each causing its own share of symptoms. Just simply blocking the entire "off" switch - which I would assume is a pretty deep pathway - would probably cause as much harm as it would help, wouldn't it?
I'm just the sysadmin. I have no clue what the rationale is behind the need for us submitting images to the publications. All I'm aware of is that we do, and some of them require it to be CMYK.
When you have the capacity to alter scientific publications and their antiquated approach to journalism, then more power to you. Until then, we have to run by their rules.
A glimmer of hope amidst a realm of discontent. Thank you for bringing this to my attention. While the features list for GEGL mentions only scRGB, it still paves the way to using the CMYK color space as mentioned in the summary. Now I just have to figure out how many more years I have to wait till this comes about.
Which is exactly what the publications we are sending the graphics out too are doing. Yes, CMYK is not for non-professional work, but for pro work it commonly is.
I would just like to find an alternative to Photoshop that has the capacity of working with CMYK. Evidently, all open source alternatives fail to deliver in this regard, as if CMYK harbors some sort of plague or it's something way out of their league.
I don't understand. You imply that GIMP isn't sufficient for professional work for stuff like paper publications, yet you state that GIMP is good for screen graphics. This is despite the fact you mention one of the inadequacies with it which is font rendering, an issue that is very much existing with screen graphics no less than on paper. Am I reading your statement incorrectly?
Firefox, in their efforts to streamline the experience, should progress by replacing all UI interaction with a single button labeled with the word "Do".
Buying used games has been rather commonplace, especially prior to digital downloads being the big thing and you often went to rent or buy used games at a rental shop or local gaming joint. Yet somehow the whole 'used game' thing is suddenly an ugly threat to the pockets of big publishers. What happened?
If it's about the whole DLC and microtransaction craze of the industry these days, then I don't get it. Aren't DLCs attached to accounts and not to specific item purchases? What benefit would a used game buyer have in buying a game with DLC the original owner purchased, they don't get it as well, do they?
I think it's evident - as others have witnessed - that there's a bubble that's about to pop and a market that's about to crash when companies who originally handled this rather well in the past are now gnashing teeth.
I would not have felt compassion for your situation had you not of clearly defined the exact breed of canine you own. My condolences, and I wish the best for you.

... and I'm here to ask you a question. Is a man not entitled to the sweat of his brow?
'No!' says the man in Washington, 'It belongs to the poor.'
'No!' says the man in the Vatican, 'It belongs to God.'
'No!' says the man in Moscow, 'It belongs to everyone.'
I rejected those answers; instead, I chose something different. I chose the impossible. I chose...

I concur with this statement. Hopefully 2.9 and 2.10 will help shorten the gap.

True CMYK support yet? Nope. Looks like Photoshop is still the only option.
