only a noob would put code out on slashdot, and with bugs, and use "error trapping" as some kind of lame excuse for their bugs. only apk would be a noob and a total arrogant ass about it.
i don't play many games on linux (except the original starcraft-broodwar under wine) but i don't play many games in windows either
a lot of games are coming out that are better on things like PS3, xbox360, wii, and the smartphones (android and ios)
i received angry birds rio as a present, except that it was a windows version... it sucks bad compared to the touch interface on my galaxy s2.
otoh... if i had 3 46" LED panels and a water cooled awesomeness eyefinity graphics card setup with the widescreen fixer program... that would make for a fucking awesome windows gaming experience! unfortunately i have a life, so...
this was probably just a joke that whooshed me, but % is actually called a percent, not a hash, and %ProgramData% is reference to an environment variable.
i'm sorry but they won't get your buggy code to work APK... try again:)
and if you at least call them "exceptions" you might come across as being not such the noob that you are (even if you don't know what an exception actually is)
...and the C code you like to refer to (despite not being able to take credit for it myself) was obviously (to anyone else but you anyway) not meant to represent anything functional but was a poke at your rediculous posts... as in who the fuck would post such a pointeless (and buggy) piece of shit code as your "TrollTalkComReversePsychologyKiller.py" anyway? who does that, especially on slashdot? it doesn't make you sound like some kind of "professional" programmer or anything. it makes you look like a desperate noob. your code can be replaced with a single line. no professional programmer would reinvent the wheel if the existing wheel (ie s = s[::-1]) is more efficient. are you deliberately trying to make yourself look bad or something?
and your code wasn't that cool because it was written in python (an inherently "uncool" langauge to begin with). if you want to look "cool", try rewriting your function in assembly or in hexadecimal with opcodes. at least then your bugs wouldn't stick out like a sore thumb.
they sure as hell won't make APK's buggy posted code interpret correctly
"error traps" (programmers that aren't complete noobs like APK call them exception handlers) are mostly for handling bad inputs (such as if a user enters a bunch of letters in a field that is converted to an integer)
using them merely to show a more friendly message box than the usual Windows exception dialog in case there's a program bug is just poor form
yeah!...and those lazy fucking moron FOSS developers too. i pay zero hard earned dollars to enjoy the fruits of their labor, and they fucking owe me guddammit!
what the fuck is with these lazy fucking non-profit organisations that they can't get off their fat asses and compete with megacorporations and their capitalist agendas!?
as much as i hate to admit (must... bag.... microshaft....) i use windows 7 at work and most problems are to do with applications that run on it, not the os itself.
viruses are still a major problem though (and virus scanners for that matter)

noob
noob

time runs in the reverse direction (T)
oh he's making it up as he goes along!
Q: Why did the cat slide off the roof?
A: It didn't have enough Mu.
bahahahahahahahahahahaha!!!!!!! i found that on some random physics jokes website and its the funniest joke i think i've ever heard... sad huh

just outta curiosity, did it work out of the box in windows or mac? just for comparison
DULL BRAIN of yours
if i can find a bug in your posted code that you can't see (even when its spelled out to you here http://slashdot.org/comments.pl?sid=3258205&cid=42017839 and you think my brain is dull, how dull then must your brain be?
poor apk, the wannabe programmer noob
why are there hashes on your command line?
this was probably just a joke that whooshed me, but % is actually called a percent, not a hash, and %ProgramData% is reference to an environment variable.
/etc/hosts
eg (windows/ms-dos): c:\windows\system32\drivers\etc\hosts
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Environment_variable#Examples_from_Microsoft_Windows
linux slashes are also the other way around from windows
eg (linux):
i'm sorry but they won't get your buggy code to work APK... try again :)
and if you at least call them "exceptions" you might come across as being not such the noob that you are (even if you don't know what an exception actually is)
APK, i know you can't help but come across like an idiot, but why do you torment yourself so?
try copying and pasting the code from here into your interpreter:

i'm sorry you can't read, and that you can't see the bug in your posted code, but what more can i expect from such a moron as yourself
"error trapping" won't make syntactically buggy code interpret... moron
they sure as hell won't make APK's buggy posted code interpret correctly

linux will never have a start menu... that would be blasphemous
hahaha APK is pissed... +1 funny
and this Office OS even has some kind of built-in virtual machine that runs Ubuntu...
maybe its an easter egg in Office that tuppe666 is the first to discover - that you don't even need windows at all to run Office.
:)
*trundles off to dig up Office cd to try booting off it*
only two questions remain:
1. can i play starcraft under the Microsoft Office OS
2. does it blend?
yeah! ...and those lazy fucking moron FOSS developers too. i pay zero hard earned dollars to enjoy the fruits of their labor, and they fucking owe me guddammit!

definitely... maybe if the op had actually turned his lumia phone on he would have got a better battery life comparison with his androids
try an iphone... you will feel better about your ice cream sandwich :)
i'd go back to windows if it came with a blowjob from dilbert.
anything else is still just second rate.
omg you haven't dropped it and smashed the screen yet!?
such a noob
