    this is the latest thread where i've been taking pokes at him... i think he's pissed off that i keep bringing up the bug in his stupid reversing string function that he loves posting repeatedly, and now he's trying to make some kind of counterargument about how i don't "error trap" my code or whatever, even though the only code i've ever actually posted on /. was something that could replace all of apk's dodgy reverse string code with a single command.

    only a noob like you would feel a need to wrap an exception handler around a print statement... maybe you should have put an exception handler around your exception handler, just in case you fucked that up too

    its not like the age old ctrl+F4 exploit that affects all browsers in all operating systems and has the uncanny result of closing which ever browser window you happen to be viewing... it even works on some other programs. i think it must be a bug in the processor or something.... stupid intel

    who's forcing anyone to use any particular hosting provider? if a customer doesn't like what they're paying for, they should move on or stfu. changing dns records isn't rocket science.

    you can prevent access to individual files easily enough (in apache anyways)

    will it likely break the customer's site, sure it will, but it will also jolt them into action

    while it may seem that the customer would be reasonably pissed off, you could have it as a clause in the signup agreement that if a vulnerability was found the vulnerable file will be made inaccessable till the vulnerability is patched... after all it may be their website, but its the service provider's hosting infrastructure. it would be no different if you rented a car to someone and they kept leaving the keys in it whenever they got out
