from TFA in linked comment regarding hacked freebsd servers; "hackers were able to gain access to the servers using legitimate SSH keys and not by exploiting any operating system vulnerabilities"...
Linux gets used by the majority since they're smallfry and cash strapped since Linux = free
...yeah cos ibm linux servers just keep falling out the back of various trucks, not to mention all the "cash strapped" geeks in fortune 500 corporations can afford to fill their multi-million dollar datacenters with linux blades
i get microsoft also missed the memo cos even they have linux on azure
this is the latest thread where i've been taking pokes at him... i think he's pissed off that i keep bringing up the bug in his stupid reversing string function that he loves posting repeatedly, and now he's trying to make some kind of counterargument about how i don't "error trap" my code or whatever, even though the only code i've ever actually posted on/. was something that could replace all of apk's dodgy reverse string code with a single command.
you've never seen my code so you're getting pretty desperate, but at least you're calling them error "handlers" now rather than noobish "traps"
only a noob like you would feel a need to wrap an exception handler around a print statement... maybe you should have put an exception handler around your exception handler, just in case you fucked that up too
at least you can fit all the linux exploits in a single post.... it would require a rather large book to highlight windows, sql server and iis exploits
your message just isn't getting through because big companies keep investing in linux... even microsoft hosts linux vms on azure so it can get in on the action
http://www.windowsazure.com/en-us/manage/linux/
maybe you should put some bandaids on those "open sores" of yours
its not like the age old ctrl+F4 exploit that affects all browsers in all operating systems and has the uncanny result of closing which ever browser window you happen to be viewing... it even works on some other programs. i think it must be a bug in the processor or something.... stupid intel
well probably still good for Linux in that it has a larger deployed codebase to tempt developers and hardware support and undermines the Microsoft hegemony
who's forcing anyone to use any particular hosting provider? if a customer doesn't like what they're paying for, they should move on or stfu. changing dns records isn't rocket science.
you can prevent access to individual files easily enough (in apache anyways)
will it likely break the customer's site, sure it will, but it will also jolt them into action
while it may seem that the customer would be reasonably pissed off, you could have it as a clause in the signup agreement that if a vulnerability was found the vulnerable file will be made inaccessable till the vulnerability is patched... after all it may be their website, but its the service provider's hosting infrastructure. it would be no different if you rented a car to someone and they kept leaving the keys in it whenever they got out
...when the moron legal system and media of the world are happy to spread the word about how awesome RetroShare is
you can't buy this kind of publicity
Nix Nuke Week in progress (lmao)

apk is an idiot, but entertaining nonetheless
i bet this guy's graphics cards could cook turkey if you removed the cooling system...

australia's legal system protects us from sue-happy american idiots who think they control the world

that's what i reckon too
not much else for entertainment on here nowadays
sore loser
It would be extremely foolish to forget that we do live in a sue-happy world
not as foolish as assuming that the US means the world
swamp-soaked, gator-munching redneck yokels smell worse... apparently
Cyber defense systems which I am sure are paid for by the US.
paid for: yes, implemented by: not a chance
just let us know where you live then
...they must surely be using windows servers with iis :)

the level of detail suggests you have plenty of personal experience
linux+china=good for linux+bad for microsoft & apple
ricenses only apply in north korea
try telling the mpaa that
oh no you mentioned hosts
