The sun has a well-known liberal bias, therefore the US gets less sunlight than a socialist European welfare state.
But.. but.. but Hussein the Communist is in power now. Surely he must have commanded the sun to shine more on *his*socialist welfare state recipients (well at least 47% of them). So why doesn't the sun shine more on the US? I bet it's too much government regulation getting in the way of all the small business owners and stopping them from using free capital from the 1% in order to build their cloud dispersing innovative devices. Or.. or.. or..maybe its because that paragon of small independent business made good - Micro$oft - is in the battle of the end times with the evil iZombie of Steve Jobs who came back from the dead to in order to defend the iApple patent on iCloud iDissipation and the public just isn't allowed to buy the one thing that will allow the sun to shine (hmm.. the Sun *does* have rounded corners.. too round at that!) until the Barry's Supreme Court brings down another tablet from Heaven that proclaims the next 10 commandments (Thou shall not be allowed to have Assault Rifles, Thou Shall not covert thy neighbors ammunition etc)
It's a morning show; they all suck. It doesn't have to be FOX News.
Yeah but on the odd times that I have watched Fox news in the morning I have been/astounded amused by how bad the reporting has been. On several occasions I have witnessed Gretchen say something and then her co-hosts immediately correct her - all without missing a beat.
On the other hand.. while I think that Fox and Friends is pure drivel (do I really want musical guests in a morning news program?), some of the afternoon news shows that I have seen have been very even handed in their reporting.
Facebook did not "Break major websites". Instead Facebook users who were logged in to Facebook (and hence working under the auspices of Facebook) were screwed over when they went to third party sites. Sheesh.. even TFS explains that.
Are we now starting to refer to the Internet as teh Facebook???
From TFS of all places: " In fact, I did just that about a year ago."
But then TFS then goes on to say that he almost went broke doing it and we find out that the real (but implied question) is actually "How can I get people to donate to my pet project?"
Back in the late 80's early 90's my favourite IDE was actually AutoCad plus and external compiler being used to program a Bailey Network 90 Distributed Control System (mentioned deep in Distributed Control Systems).
You drew up the process control drawings in AutoCad and visually connected data signals from processing block to processing block and when finished you pushed the AutoCad drawings through the compiler (which on the Compaq 286 we had took all night for the job I was working on) . This produced the executable code that you then downloaded to the controllers. It was the best example of self documenting code that I have seen as the AutoCad drawings were always up to date.
It was a pity that the application software libraries on the controllers themselves were so bug ridden, but otherwise it was a great system. Except for the controllers running standard MS Basic on 68K? boards (which was good), while the operator stations ran TI Basic on a TI/99 board (which was bad) - and also used 8 inch floppies for storage.
After the defense systems of a naval vessel get overwhelmed and it goes down in flames, the country that owns that vessel stomps big-time on the attacker.
War isn't a "No loss evan" scenario.. its a question of balancing resources against potential threats. And given that the military spending of the US is around double that of all its "enemies" combined - who the hell is going to try to pull off a stunt as proposed??!?!?!?!
All a company has to do is to come up with something that none of the big companies have thought about, patent the shit out of it so they have exclusive rights and then they will have people falling over themselves to buy it while everyone else stands around saying "Why didn't we think of that?". The big companies do not have a lock on innovation.
But can they do it is a different question from "How easy is it to do?"
Nowhere on TFA does it mention the chemistry of the brain. Without taking that into account I can't see how you can properly simulate the mechanisms in a brain.
Isn't that how all modern airliners are created? I'm trying to remember a documentary about the development of the A380, IIRC the entire thing was designed in CAD, the factories were then tooled and the first plane was created from parts from the same production line as the production run would come from.
The Airbus also suffered from manufacturing problems as the German and Spanish facilities were using a different version of the CATIA CAD tool than the English and French facilities. This resulted in hilarity when modules from different locations did not mate as intended.
There is a sweet spot between paranoia and complacency in which all reasonable men should dwell.
The State is a wild animal that must be kept on a leash, yet can do great good when properly trained and handled correctly.
That doesn't answer the question of why the OP thinks that this incident falls into the realms of the 2nd amendment. If anything it is an action of gross stupidity and/or totally irresponsible and not a call to arms to start shooting back at the government and should be handled that way.
But if you want to go down the path of believing that the government is planning on taking aim of its citizens, do you really think that they would conduct training exercises in the middle of city like that? If the government comes for you with armed forces blazing they are not about to give you prior warning.
Considering that the Shipping Carts in the local supermarket have cup-holders and there are various iPad holders that you strap on your arms, I would not be surprised that you could get an iPhone holder with a cup holder.
T-Mobile will sell you a SIM only (No Need To Buy A phone) for pay-as-you-go and is a pretty cheap option.
I use T-mobile and when it works it works great. When I decided on them several years ago they were the ones that met my requirements (GSM, unlocked phones, true pre-pay and not monthly contracts). Buying in bulk I get $100 for 1000 minutes, and they don't expire for a year, and I typically use no more than 2000 minutes a year so it is way cheaper than a contract and I hardly ever text anyway (and I also reserve my data usage for when I am in front of a dedicated computer). However I do encounter quite a few dead spots with the network (including my own home), especially once you get away from the more populated areas where it is more a case of dead regions than dead spots. So you need to balance out your particular requirements with the downsides.
"They're coming for your guns, what are you going to do when they label you "mentally ill"?"
Its things like this that makes me think that the NRA is a huge hypocrite when it comes to the second amendment. I was listening to the NRA's president on NPR last week and he was adamant that mentally disturbed people should be allowed to have guns, and that all law abiding citizens should be allowed to have them. Aside from the fact that mentally disturbed people can be law abiding I see nothing in
A well regulated militia being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed.
Where it says ".. except if they are mentally ill, or felons". In my opinion the position of the NRA is akin to the old joke with the punchline
now we are just haggling over the price
and that they are already supporting abridgment of the second amendment - just only one that suits their selfish beliefs.

A better question would be, what system would allow 1000 password guesses per second to be authenticated?
Irrelevant, as the cracking will happen offline after the bad guys have stolen your PW DB by exploiting other weaknesses in your system

If only I hadn't used all my 5.25" floppies trying to decapitate attacking zombies...
Ha! you call that a floppy disk? [pulls out and brandishes an 8" floppy disk]

Do I actually need a registry cleaner?
The TFA is just a cover story for the chem trails.
But what is really scary is that I recently met a person who actually believes in the chem trail conspiracy.
And why do you assume that I don't do any meta moderation myself?
..as I wrote..
Freedom from slashvertisments.

LED room lights will double as "Li-Fi" wireless nodes
Li-Fi Multi-tasking micro-lights could spark a communications revolution
(a bit like Morse Code from a torch)
Thanks for the clarification, News for Nerds.
Unfortunately that description is in TFA

Don't be so sure that's automatically what's best for you.
Similarly you can't just assume that the action will harm you either.
There is a sweet spot between paranoia and complacency in which all reasonable men should dwell.

there's a second amendment.
Why is that? Because you are assuming that any action by your government is nefarious by default?
Is that calculated on the basis of MPAA dollars or some currency that is worth something? Like Australian dollars?

Seriously?!?!?
Why do I even bother?
