I still don't see why car makers would sell large fleets to middle men to compete against private users. Surely in the end the car makers will run he autonomous fleets themselves.
In the future individuals won't be able to own cars, instead they will be all supplied by businesses who need to MAKE ends MEET so like MODERN sporting EVENT the car WILL BE FILLED WITH LOUD MUSIC AND ADVERTS AND THE WALLS WILL BE FILLED WITH RAPIDLY CHANGING ADS AND WINDOWS WILL ONLY TAKE AWAY FROM THE AVAILABLE AD SPACE AND THIS BOMBARDMENT WILL CONTINUE UNTIL
we have reached your destination, thank you for using Rent-A-Car.
This one pisses me off because these type of standards mostly do actual valuable stuff but because they aren't 'essential' we have companies that try to devalue them. These same companies sue for billions for shit like slide to unlock and a slightly less shitty version of a shitty filesystem that became the standard for removable media because of illegal monopoly behave and use them to extort millions from say android phone makers.
For a very long time I have had the feeling following his Microsoft tech love that at some point Miguel de Icaza will giggle insanely, then pull of his face Mission Impossible style and say "You fools it was I Bill Gate all along!".
I've said it before and I'll say it again, I'm sure marketing has already done a report and they will plug in some so called statistics of this type to say that with Windows 8, Home users never installed anything outside of the app store and then the next windows will allow only Professionals to install non-store software.
And here we see they are already softening people up.
I'm sure the US government will step and tell Australia not to, and I'm sure our PM will knuckle her forehead and say "By your command".
This would set a dangerous precedent for source code to be made available and I can't see the US government thinking it's a good idea for American companies to have to do so.
Not that I'm saying they've got US government backdoors in them, no I'm not.. know what I mean.... nudge nudge... know what I mean.....

That new tab page is so annoying and unnecessary, now they are going to make it even more so..

Or at least afford one each for the minimum number of pages you'll want open, all run from the same account at the same time!
