Only if you're looking in its direction. If it's also on for only a short period (to take a photo) then you will probably not notice, or consider it a random hardware glitch. I'd hope the light was hardwired so couldn't be overridden by software, but that's also a possibility.

I absolutely loved Trine. I got the warm fuzzy feeling from it's simple yet nice plot, it has two monsters essentially, a skeleton and a big skeleton, mixed with plenty of physics puzzles. I'm also an oldschool NWN player, so yeah I second that with it's expandability. There's thousands of player-made modules around, some of which should be suitable, the OC is a little droll, mind you. Personally, though I hear good things about Dreamfall. I have yet to play it, but can someone confirm that's a highly rated adventure or not. There's also mechanarium (sp?) which is I believe a point-and-click adventure you could look into. Try something like gametrailers.com for trailers and various game vids or youtube and preview a few in-case you're worried about the scare aspect that may or may not be in some of these.

Although it also comes with the downside of being a holding group, umbrella naming. To Average Joe (via the sensationalist media), Sony X and Sony Y are the same thing. As it all masquerades under the name Sony, hacking Sony Music and Sony TV is essentially the same thing, even if, to the rest of us, it isn't. Ultimately though, I find the whole thing very funny and am rather enjoying watching.

Well, yes, except you can still run a machine that has came with Leopard, such as my 2007 MBP that is fully capable of taking Lion. Not everyone upgraded to SL because it's a purchased service-pack, essentially. I have snow leopard, but I only got it in the last six months. I could have perhaps waited for Lion instead, thinking it'd save me having to buy SL in the intervening time. Now it seems you Must own SL already, to get Lion. That, I don't like.

It Seems that they want to double-dip and make you buy Snow Leopard first if you don't already have it. Look at the bottom of this this page. To paraphrase:

Step 1: Make sure your Mac can run Lion [followed by minor processor list].
Step 2: Make sure you have the latest version of Snow Leopard.
Step 3: Download OS X Lion from the Mac App Store.

So looking at that, they are only selling Lion to Snow Leopard users. If you have Leopard, bad luck, buy both. Not sure I like that idea personally. Makes me sadface.

Nah, they got brought out by Apple. I have a feeling Apple pays them for every song that has to be uploaded (not in their library) which probably shuts them up. Remember, the music industry likes money, Apple has plenty. They'll make a killing off the $25 fee anyway, so there's plenty spare to throw at the labels for being idiots. Hopefully these labels will shrink over the decade anyway until they're not even worth paying off.

I don't know, are there really that many fully kitted out Cortex-A(n) boards kicking around that are straight forward and affordable to develop for? Beagleboard is one, and there's a quad variant that came out last year I think. Of course everyone who makes more than one product with a chip probably has a dev board, but they're made in low quantities that will push costs a bit. This one is quite nice as it does have options for purchase with readily compatible peripherals such as screens etc that only pushes the price to around $400, which is rather nice I think.

They say it supports SPI,I2C, and several other ports but most of them are not shown being available on headers.

It seems to be made up of a motherboard with the CPU and memory nailed to it, this is implanted into an IO daughterboard where everything else is attached. Possibly those signals are either not routed off the motherboard because no peripherals on the daughterboard are using them (unlikely?) or those signals are routed onto the daughterboard and used by IO ICs for the peripheral access but not headered out for GPIO use.

Someone who knows more about board design might be able to correct me there mind you.

Ah, still having that problem are they? Every G92 I can lay my eyes on has died from that generation too in every friend's machine that's had one. My own 2007 MBP had the chip fail too, luckily Apple honoured their fit-for-purpose recall and replaced it for free. Glad I swapped to ATI for the desktop after my G80 GTX started to breath it's last breaths last year, though I think that's having memory death rather than the chip and unlike all the G92s I've seen, still works (barely).
