The full response from MPAA makes fill with the rage of a thousand suns. I finally saw some media coverage on SOPA. It was on CNN, it stated that wikipedia was having a blackout in protest of Sopa but was immediately followed up with Time Warner who owns CNN support this bill. It took her less than 10 seconds to report and then she quickly moved on to the next subject.
Trying to lower the cost of books is a great idea but what stops schools from not raising tuition on the back end when they see those funds become available. Get school tuition under control first and then worry about the books.

Nightlies are exactly that. You shouldnt be using them unless you are committed to testing very beta and possibly unstable roms. The plus however, is that we get to play with all the new toys first if it works great. Otherwise we simply go back to our restore point on the prior nightly.

I can read a discussion from an educated audience that is generally willing to converse intelligently and not just flame people that are the outliers on a school of thought.
I think when 4-6 were made, George Lucas wasn't the only one making the calls. I think people actually challenged him during those movies. As time went on and the series became more and more famous you could see Lucas' control slowly take over. When 1-3 were made, I assume that if anyone other than George made any kind of suggestion on what should be done they would be laughed off the set by George and his cronies.
