this is absolutely correct. i dont want to sound full of myself, but i am extremely gifted at school. i used to be the "teachers aid" because i would finish my work in about 1/4 the allocated time and then go help people and mark work.
this absolutely SHIT ME OFF!!! the concept of having a smart kid in a class to help bring the class forward is a TOTAL LOAD OF CRAP! all that happens is you get extremely pissed off at school and "the system" for forcing you into doing something that you SHOULD NOT BE DOING. this is why i started smoking weed. i decided that i would just wag 2-3 days/week and smoke myself senseless.
if anyone who reads this has very intelligent kids, please, do them a favour and take them out of school. do homeschooling or something, and let them do whatever they want to do. school is absolutely killing their motivation.
I dunno... i live in australia (darwin:), and up here swearing is pretty common. people don't put f*ck after every second word or anything, but its greatly used to show size, or greatness. eg. it was f*ckin' huuuuge!!!
Cops dont seem to mind the word either... while explaining a seatbelt fine i had a cop tell me "what a load of bullsh*t!"
Cunt is a veeery regularly used term for the yummiest part of the female anatomy:) but its probably also the most offensive when your called a cunt.
the one thing that i believe linux should really be looking at improving substantially is user friendliness. especially with installing software. that was the one thing that made me so angry when i first tried using linux.
AFAIK the source code to the M$ MPEG4 codec IS on the net... as well as the ISO source code.
i dont think the M$ mpeg4 source code is meant to be on the net, but it (allegedly) is.
ouch! i cant stand anything below 85hz for prolonged use. when i put my monitor up to 1280x1024 i had to drop it to 75hz, and it is highly noticeable. After about a day i put it back to 1024x758 @ 100hz and the picture felt like it just became solid... my eyes thank me for it now.
