Wordpress 1.5.2 and 2.0 work fine for me using Apache on windows, so I'm not sure what you're doing wrong.
Just download XAMPP and wordpress and you'll be up and running within minutes. Not sure what XAMPP would be like as a production system, but it's great for testing.
Yes I find this a huge issue, apparently there's a patch for the IDN issue but is it easy to find? No.
Does "check for updates" find it? - No.
The security updates link is a tiny link hidden in the footer on the default Firefox page. (http://www.mozilla.org/products/firefox/central.h tml)
Until Mozilla make it extremely easy for the user to update, or discover updates then your average user is never going to update.
Figures (admitted a small sample) from a site I run, but they're a good indicator of your average home user.
They didn't have the bandwith to send back complete sound, so they've averaged the amplitude and frequency of the sound. I assume that they've then used this to modulate some white noise to produce the sound that they've posted.
Damn, you're correct of course. I really meant -5 to -8.
I'd have thought that -5 to -8 (mostly the americas), +2 to -1 most of europe and africa, and +5 to +8 india, china, would all have been roughly equal in terms of population. But I can't be bothered checking the veracity of my assertation....
Welcome to the world, we have many timezones from GMT-12 to GMT+12. You probably live in the GMT+5 to GMT+8 zone. You may be surprised to discover that more live outside of your zone than live in it.
(Swap GMT for UTC if you think Greenwich is in Connecticut)
With respect it's not at all easy for the clueless.
If I go to the firefox home page - there's no mention of it, if I go to the support page there's no mention of it. If I go to the download page I see a reference to 0.9.2 but no release notes telling me that there's a security problem.
So as an average user how would I know or find the fix? Answer: I wouldn't.
Hence pgp originally being "exported" out of america as a paper code listing - all perfectly legal. Then it was OCR'd and recompiled over here in Europe somewhere. (I think)
So you're suggesting we dump html and move to flash? Ignore the open standard and move to something proprietary? I really don't think that's a good idea.
If flash were made by microsoft and not macromedia I'm sure that you wouldn't be suggesting this.
So, in actuality, there were no known restrictions before then, thus nothing to negotiate.
If you'd read the associated link about copyright you'd see that you do not need to claim copyright for your work to be copyrighted. Similarly posting work on the internet without a copyright claim does not mean that you are allowing license free use of that work.
I'm watching a stream of the satellite link and they said that Red Team had a mechanical failure of some sort. The commentatory was quite clear that it was not a computer or electronics problem.
The high school team drove straight into the wall... again.
They can certainly ask for it - but you're not required to have it with you.
If you don't have it with you they can ask you to produce your Driving license, registration, insurance, and MOT certificates at a police station within a week or so.

I think you've just described underclocking.
Try putting the clocks on top of the case.
Yeah - that "old" top secret data is much easier to wipe than the new stuff.
Or "Cool and Quiet" on AMD chips.
