That's still a matter of opinion. While I agree with you about C# looks much better, but I know people who thinks VB.NET is easier to read and write. It's all up to the developer.
It doesn't mean that this book is useless. I know Microsoft shops that have developers who prefer VB.NET over C#. I could see this skill could come in handy for someone in that position.
Latest version of VB(VB.NET) isn't as bad is it once was(VB6). I still prefer languages that have a C-style to them, but I can put up with VB.NET if I have to.
Why did you get modded down?
I agree with you, (and would mod you up if I had points). This is good news for Nokia.
I do too. Some people do like the WP7 OS and think that Nokia phones coming with WP7 is great news.
Wrong place for saything something that isn't negative about Microsoft and their products.
It's not too bad, I think I'll get use to it and learn to love it.
It has a shiny UI but it is missing nearly all of the features, power, and flexibility that made me like WM5/6
Which is sad, but most consumer didn't want that in a phone. They wanted an iPhone, so MS attempted to give them what they wanted.
WP7 isn't terrible, still a good OS(love my HTC Surround), it'll be better if it wasn't trying to be like iOS.
Microsoft is just not a tattletale

except this book is about VB.Net BASIC != VB.Net
