    In a free market, I would ask to see your training(degree) and your experience before I hire you as a pediatrician for my children. In our current situation I would do the same.

    If I find you not good enough for my children, I would go to someone better.

    Given the amount of crapware bundled with most laptops, wiping and reinstalling Windows from scratch might actually be a good idea.

    It's exactly what I do with all my new computers. It's not too hard to do.. I ran a windows update and had to hunt down a graphic driver. That's about it.

    Managers choose VS, not developers.

    Where I work, the developer choose the tools. We chose: Visual Studio 2010, XCode, and Eclipse. Each one for a different job.

    Well I agree with you. I can't wait for Nokia's first WP7 device.

    I also love developing apps with silverlight, I think that was a great idea on MS part.

    You're making a huge mistake in calling video game consoles and iOS devices and smartphones, "computers." THEY ARE NOT. These things are content-consumption appliances, not general-purpose personal computers.

    Most linux user won't use Visual Studio, because it's from MS and is not free(as in free speech and as in free beer).

    But I do agree with you, .Net is great would be awesome if it came to Linux.

    According to some comments on some blog, Android devices have a 99% return rate. It's true because it was a comment posted by an anonymous on some google blog.
    Sadly though... your comment was modded +5 insightful without giving any real evidence. Also this is only happening to a few phones, (what I've read is the minority). This is their first phone update, there's bound to be a few problems here and there.

    It has a lot of apps for the amount of time it's been out. It has over 8000, which isn't bad for the few months its been out.

    It has the .Net Community as well as the Windows Mobile community. MSDN is huge.

    I find Mobile Office quite useful, a few weeks my last job contract ended and I had my Resume on my phone. I was able to make quick edits when needed and sent it out to interviewers.


    The OneNote is also nice to make quick notes that you can access from your phone or your windows live account.

    As for the lack of carriers, they're coming to Verizon later this year.

Plus I can multitask with the phone right now, just not with 3-rd party apps. I can still listen to music, while texting, or writing email or surfing the web. I can't imagine what other multitasking i need. As for copy paste, I've only seen a use for it very few times. Custom Ringtones is also not a big deal, but would be nice.
