Websites are notorious for phb wanting to maximize viewers and being conservative. A 180 from 1999. These same owners just a few years ago demanded IE 6 compatibility too. If Chrome and IE stopped including flash the problem will fix itself.
Because flash is a binary executable. Executables run code. Running code is bad from a freaking mail client or browser security wise and unnecessary. Worse you can't edit it and need to use proprietary products to create them against spirit of the web.
Flash took off to get around IE 6 and codec war incompatibility problems early last decade. It is 2015 now. More than time to move on
Node.js and Ruby on rails are sooo old right up there with gradients, colors, and other dated non flat modern things from ancient 2010. Time to be hip and write impress your cat with the new hotest opensouce language ever!
But look at what Mozilla is doing to Firefox? They keep taking features away and locking stuff away with the GUI. Meantime Google is more limited with it's plugins and extensions but is designed with software engineering not to break.
I never hear of people angry Chrome got updated. Only Firefox which shows me it has a problem. IE used to be painful at work but now since it is W3C complaint as long as the intranet apps are updated it is no problem for updates. Can't say the same with Firefox
1st off Chrome is designed to be updated frequently without breaking. Firefox is not. I never hear of things break between releases besides a few small bugs here and there that get rapidly fixed.
IE 6 had the same bugs for a freaking decade. Slashdot is now conservative and hates updates for anything but frequent updates mean web developers do not have to incorporate bugs and hacks that only work with certain versions as they get fixed fast.
The plugin model is designed to interface least in Webkit browsers so it is not a problem.
FYI IE is still around but gets updated every 12 to 18 months if updates scare you. With this approach IE is now w3c standards complaint and even supports adblock plus and HTML 5 and CSS 3.1.
There are forged SSL for man in the middle in Comodo products. It is the same as Superfish or whatever that Lennovo thing that hit last year.
Time to let Mozilla die or have someone fork it into something new. While in 2004 it was cutting edge and cleaned up compared to the dung of Netscape that preceeded it still in Mozilla suite it is stale again and not flexible which is why Google gave up on making a gecko Chrome and switched to Webkit during development.
Maybe if AMD only made software, but I believe they're still considered a hardware company. CPUs and GPUs and stuff like that.
Well go google Nvida Gameworks? All the crappy buggy ports of games that are optimized for Nvidia hardware are making AMD GPUs look bad and use secrets and hacks to prevent debugging.
This is an alternative to Nvidia gameworks so developers stop using hairworks, physics works, and other things that make AMD appear slower
Better yet if your neighbor is an asshole who is abusing his dog by not feeding him and keeping him outside then call police and society for the prevention of cruelty to animals
No way will corporations and the lobbying of the chamber of commerce allow this intrusion of socialism to harm profits! Every.com and software company in existence will freak out and open their wallets in unifying opposition!
I guess it shows the goverment hasn't worked for it's people in the US for a long time now. This is a show for votes as no way this will pass.
I do use it but the question is asking for silly things like which column do you use for managing y in tool z when an admin uses z for something else. Or which out of 50 arguments would you select in powershell when no one uses that command anyway for that kind of task . admins typically do it with another command 95% of the time and would use get help anyway or PS ESE etc.
Well the new MCSE/MCSA certification track it is not hte training I do not trust.
It is the silliness of the questions. MS are very very hard. Not in a technical sense. But more of memorizing which mouse click and knowing 3 ways to do everything with every obscure option in 1. gui 2. Netsh and 3. Powershell. It is never something you ever used in the real world and MS adds another gui tool for each task in each new version of server. So there can be 8 ways to setup a static IP, DNS, name, and adding the dc to a forest. MS will give you 10 options and 7 are correct. But MS asks for the right one?? Which one is that?
Now need to memorize which mouse clicks in gnome3 for non related work items and obscure powershell cmd let's for Linux no one uses in the real world for a high quality and respected cert
Worse the people who make them use insecure extensions that need to be patched regularly but do not patch them EVER. They put something up in 2009 and expect never to touch it again.
I hate the monopoly of Android that is starting. I even roooted for Windows Phone to take off. Not that I like the platforms but because I want to see a 3 to 4 party healthy ecosystem.
Android and webkit specific CSS/HTML 5 is not healthy and Google is now the new Microsoft in the mobile world:-(
But Firefox OS was really really awful and only marketed in 3rd world countries.
Android today is bloated as hell and requires over 1 gig of ram. That is because outside of Apple there is no competition nor reason to improve their products.Mozilla at least tries to respect privacy but they need revenue and Android is free even if it is a poor performer on phones with 512 megs of ram. Andorid 2.2 gingerbread is still being sold in INdia and China for this reason. Again not healthy to have a 5 year old OS.

New name same buggy pony show. Nothing can beat Chrome
Property values would plummet
Yeah still even more excited about the port of SCCM to Linux! Nothing besides systemD excites system admins more
Yo yo hipsters!

Sounds like your IT department needs to look into this
http://www.google.com/intl/en_...
Google has GPOs and tools to integrate with active directory for pushes so your sys admins can control that

Did you guys hear something?
Better yet if your neighbor is an asshole who is abusing his dog by not feeding him and keeping him outside then call police and society for the prevention of cruelty to animals
You still lose anyway as these shops won't hire you regardless. Nothing to loose as appeasement won't win with corporations
Good luck with that.

So basically stop using WIndows XP and you won't be impacted

Tests are a joke.

I forgot about that.
I actually thought it was cool back in 1998.
I give MS kudos. IBM was the jerk before they lost their monopoly.
Now MS is being all nice. VS code is open sourced. .NET is open sourced. I believe they opened up another project recently too a week or two ago.
Wordpress is a security NIGHTMARE.
Worse the people who make them use insecure extensions that need to be patched regularly but do not patch them EVER. They put something up in 2009 and expect never to touch it again.
It is a poor system in general.
I love the remote administration features of wordpress. Infact the owners have no idea I am even remoting in with the sql commands
There is no reason at all to ever run it. Your system will be perfectly safe. Worse IT professionals actually believe this??!
Glad mine are turned on
