Developed countries don't need to enact such policies because policies such as women's rights and education can reduce birth rated without forcing people to have only one child. Forcing families to have only one child causes social problems it itself, ever herd of the little emperors or aborting girls resulting in a male dominated society? What we need to do is use our foreign aid to support education, especially among girls.

I think Valve is more concerned with what comes next then what is happening now as Microsoft has the ability to completely take over the market, just as Steam did. Gamers like (almost) everyone else will buy from the cheapest source, few people choose their purchases based on business ethics.

Social networks are publishers and they do have a responsibility to adhere to laws in countries they operate in. Also it might be prudent to censor comments about Muhammad in Muslim countries. What good really comes of these comments?

You have missed my point. I'm describing a situation where I'm free to do what I want but I don't have the independence to do it in response to AC. Real freedom is making your own choices and having the ability to carry them out not taking care of yourself from the moment you are borne.

American allies are usually perfectly fine to defend themselves. I know one of the reasons for the ANZUS treaty was America was the only country that had the power to successfully attack Australia. If America did pull out of these countries there goes favorable negotiating conditions for trade and such, there goes safe sea lanes, there goes a safe oil supply, up will go the proliferation of weapons and with it tension and possibly war. I really think America gains a lot more selling weapons and pushing their laws on allies then what would be gained from a solely continental defence strategy.

  15. Does price point matter for the regular consumer? on AMD Reportedly Preparing Massive Layoff · · Score: 1

I've always prefer AMD due to their low price point (I attribute my ability to buy my first computer to this). Would this matter for the regular consumer, if the salesman makes a better commission off of an Intel powered computer, wouldn't he always try to sell Intel first and talk down AMD.

But the federal government didn't have the constitutional authorization to write such laws - so they were written as a tax.

This sounds like a recipe for a dysfunctional government and overly complex tax codes. I hope this method isn't used allot.
