Well, new technology lets us boot up off of CD-Roms now.. But if you want to have something complete remove the floppy, use a CD-RW...... That's my take.. "The pen is mighter than the sword... But what if you can't write?"
I still go along w/ the water idea.. Every tried listening to the radio, like a collage station while it's raining..... Radar is effected by heavy rain and so cops can't use it.. So see the post on PC Fish tank idea. "The pen is mighter than the sword... But what if you can't write?"
Wood.. Great for killing sound.. Powersupply, you might have to replace the fan w/ something more expensive, you can put a mesh filter over it, that should kill some of the sound.. Foam is a good sound deadener(sp?). "The pen is mighter than the sword... But what if you can't write?"
Eh, you would have to have something a bit stronger than the material used in common chicken wire... "The pen is mighter than the sword... But what if you can't write?"
Well i'm talking about the geek home user.. I want to use linux.. But I hate going back inforth typing in things to change my config.. I want the right click to change things, and I want a device manager.. I guess I got to spoiled.. I do have a linux machine at home.. But don't use it, not becuase of the above, it's becuase I blew out the monitor.. Opps. But If I had a good monitor, it would be used alot.. I love gimp, I want to tinker w/ some of the cool things.. LCD, X10, ect.. "The pen is mighter than the sword... But what if you can't write?"
Small chicken wire concept... It would block some of it out.. But see my idea for the a real PC Fishtank.. I think the water would proved a good shield it self.. "The pen is mighter than the sword... But what if you can't write?"
A pc fish tank.. Make a complete case, it would be a bit big.. But it would be all glass, and surround it with a second wall for a fish tank enviroment..hehe.. Hmm.. I think it would keep thinks a bitt cooler that way.. Hmm.. Or you can build a hold one peice unit, like the imac into a fish tank.. Screw the fish tank screen saver when you have the real thing..hehe.. That would make a new qoute 'People with glass computers shouldn't kick'

And a wireless network connection.. Hell, hook up a coffe machine in the passager seat.. Heads up displaye would be a touch interface..hehe.. Srew the air bags.. "The pen is mighter than the sword... But what if you can't write?"

I've used many diffrent OS's, 9x,NT, OS/2, many forms of unix. I would have to say the 9x interface is the nicest I have used.. I can change hardware from there, check problems, change monitor setting with ease...I'm not saying that it's the best os, i'm just saying it has the best interface... I hope I'm on the topic.. I haven't a clue wtf i'm doing this morning..*falls on keyboard and sleeps* "The pen is mighter than the sword... But what if you can't write?"
I live in San Jose, I didn't see anything much on the news when I lived there.. So you could be correct about what is in the news down in So. Cal., but where i'm from we didn't see much of it in the news. "The pen is mighter than the sword... But what if you can't write?"

Yeah it would be scary.. What the need is a thrown with a computer built into it, pull down head screen, mouse, keboard, multi-media system, coffee maker and a pizza oven..
