Although my experience with the Mirosoft support site has been good, I have not had to use it much.
But I do know one thing....Microsoft supports its developers. With the MSDN Library and the Platform SDK documentation, one can find pretty much anything
Really, the only reasons they released it under the GPL are
1) Attracts more attention 2) They can steal other GPLed work
I really don't see why it is taking so much time to come out with a beta....all they have to do is basically steal code and modify it.
I, for one, will not be jacked by Lindows, and I think that most developers feel the same way. They have not made any significant contributions to any open source projects plus you have to pay $99 to get the source.
IMO, the whole thing defeats the purpose of the GPL
I don't know about common....the only time I see titanium bikes is in races. I have never seen a titanium bike with a kickstand (I find it kinda silly that they take the kickstand off to reduce weight.)
They also have a special type of wheel, rendering titanium bikes useless unless on a smooth road.
Microsoft is simply tired of having unstable income sources. After a release, all the money has to be managed, and they have to make a guess on how much can be put forth to each branch until another major release
yeah, but what about without a cygwin layer? I don't see why kde can't be easily ported if qt is cross-platform (if porting a few other libs is not a problem)

Yeah, but it proves that the editor did not even take the time to read the first paragraph. If he did, he would have added a note on.

wouldnt a screen with the ability to draw vector graphics just be a monitor with more features? Like adding an extra command set to a processor
I'm not claming the art, but I introduced the Slashdot community to the idea. It started with a couple of "Friday troll haikus" (the idea came from a local 2600 group mailinglist) which hardly had any effect at all. Then, recently, a karma whore apparently saw and posted a haiku modded up to 5, now, they are everywhere!
I demand credit! The whole slashdot community owes me!
It's not the fact that it is breaking news that makes people upset....it is the fact that posting a story before the mirrors can get up is just plain idiotic

I have one....they really are great.
Ever heard the idea that if you throw enough "crap" at a wall something is going to stick.
Like Slashdot in their "I hate Microsoft" campaign? Throw enough articles at it and voila?

IDKWPUOAFNPR (I don't know why people use obscure anagrams for no particular reason)
What do you think corporations are going to do? Buy new computers with your credit card?

Who cares about looks? The main reason for creating a 3.0 was the (2.0 incompatible) release of qt 3.0.
Actually, it was a joke; I didn't think anybody would be naive enough to take it seriously, but that's ok.
Are you kidding? The computing power would be at least 50x as great
Can it check my e-mail?
Just wondering....how would this help with cancer research projects?

MOD ME UP, SCOTTY!!! Don't make me sue!
I'm the one who started the whole haiku trend!
Oh my god! They're all terrorists!!!!
And you are a fucking moron
Jesus christ you're an idiot...besides forgetting the 'o' on "too," your logic is....welll...nonexistant.
How can you think there is a benefit in being "hard to use?"
If he wanted to do something challengeing with no real benefit, he would do math problems for christs sake.
It's a PDA it's supposed to be not only functional but efficient and easy to use
Damn you!!!
Damn you to hell!!!
They would be, but the problem is picking out the good 10%
Is it me or is KDE3 slow?
It's you. That was a pretty dumb question.
Just try it out, you turd
