I don't need anyone protecting me. And I sure as hell don't want anyone monitoring me so when they make it illegal they have a list of people to harass. Read up on Nazi Germany. We, the people should not exist to the government. They work for us. We should be viewed as one GROUP, not as individuals. We seriously need to stop playing the terrorism card on every front the government bureaucrats and politicians want to expand their power on. Guess what you idiots: YOU CAN'T STOP TERRORISM. The ONLY solution is to accept it, and try to understand it WITHOUT resorting to rhetoric.

The war on drugs is the same fucking concept to the government. LET'S LISTEN TO EVERYONE'S PHONE CALLS, ARREST ANYONE WHO EVEN TALKS ABOUT DRUGS, AND ? Guess what happens? You throw hundreds of thousands of innocent victims in jail, while driving up the prices of drugs that INCREASES the incentives for the drug lords (who donate thousands to presidential compaigns) and expand their power. Why? SO THE GOVERNMENT CAN IN TURN EXPAND THEIRS. They know what the fuck they are doing.

You fucking ignorant faggots who think this is about protecting you, poor little you, probably sitting around in some small shithole in Texas where no terrorist would be caught DEAD, shitting bricks every time you see someone brown because they might blow up your insignificant ass. IT'S NOT GOING TO HAPPEN. THIS IS ABOUT INCREASING POWER. This is about spending money in industry, to make security systems, to buy bullets and tanks and BURN THEM UP HOPEFULLY, because then they will have a reason to make a few more, thank god, and keep your brother-in-law at the plant working 2 shifts for shit, while the boss rakes in a hefty bonus for signing another contract with the Pentagon.

Oh, by the way, that money they're paying your brother-in-law at the plant, the money that came from the government contract. THEY'RE PRINTING IT. Us normal people, we have to fucking work and slave away to make money, but they just print it. What, you say? No, it's impossible. WHAT THE FUCK DO YOU THINK A DEFICIT IS? That means they PRINTED THE MONEY. And every dollar they print devalues your dollars in your bank account a little more. Of course, at the same time they suck all the money out of the system, by turning everything into untradeable derivatives (such as in the mortgage crisis). So there's no money for you, AND what money you did have is worth less. BUT AT LEAST YOU'RE FUCKING SECURE FROM THE RAGHEADS.

The only way we can find solutions is to have intelligent dialog.

In the comic, the commentary is multifarious. For one, they are commenting on the religion-a-day "spiritual journeyman" common in some circles of educated America. We all know some college chick who decided to become "Bhuddist". It's a pure innocent exploration of other religions. This country was founded because religion was being forced down the throats of some people. That's how we got the critical mass of people needed to succeed from England. (After that, it was taxes with out representation that pushed us over the edge..)

And the way he second-takes her commentary on the position of women in Islam, and how it's a benefit to men (because women are considered sub-standard by the extremists or "radical islamists"). And he takes great care to say the words "radical islamists" which are a fringe group of people. Islam is the second largest religion in the world, behind christianity. And it's not very far behind christianity in terms of numbers. Islam, therefore, is a legitimate religion. "Radical" islamists, however, deserve to be made fun of, just like radical christians. These people are CRAZY and blur the lines between reality and the stories they so literally interpret as the word of God/Allah/whatever.

Religion parallels psychological disorders in that something is only a disorder when it starts harming your personal existentence. Likewise a religion is only radical when it starts performing violent acts, be it bombing soldiers in Iraq or abortion clinics in the states. These people are BOTH nuts, yet we're letting one half of them RUN OUR FUCKING COUNTRY. That's why the papers didn't show the comic. They are afraid of the backlash from RADICAL CHRISTIANS who will see the word "radical islamist" and throw a fit without reading or comprehending the humor of the situation. And perhaps they are also afraid of the backlash from radical islamists also.

At any rate, my point is radicalism of any type is to be made fun of. These are young people with clearly no ability to think on their own and bad leadership telling them to do things they shouldn't (or they're coming up with it themselves). The big ISPs like Sprint and Verizon have a lot of traffic between each other so they probably have numerous private IXPs that are undocumented. The original IXPs were funded by the National Science Foundation but we've come a long way since then. I reckon the next big upgrade cycle that will affect everyone across the board is when Microsoft releases their next OS, since Vista is their last desktop OS shipping with IPv4 enabled, from what I understand. All of this hardware (most of it is upgradeable) needs to be converted to IPv6 and it will trickle down to the customers by the ISPs. Well, it's just their own desire for self-preservation. The world's leaders all got together after WWII and decided that there was to be a permanent and lasting peace, what with the looming threat of atomic weapons and all. Unfortunately, the 60's happened and there was a communications revolution and people saw through the fairly thin veil covering the "power elite", "big business", "the military industrial complex", etc. So they realized that the only way they could keep increasing or at least maintaining their own power over the masses (versus us thinking for ourselves, god help us) there needed to be a permanent state of "war" on something.

Because war is against an "enemy" surely we need to "secure ourselves" from this enemy. It's Country 101, something any old Dad would do for his family, and perfectly natural. Obviously this isn't going to work in the long run for population control and resource division, but we're past due for a major war, as far as history is concerned, and I think the energy crisis will probably do it for us.

At any rate, the truth of your statement, and some of the others I've read really resonates. I mean, we caused 9/11 ourselves. We caused the middle east. By We I mean They. After WWII, they created Israel, right in the middle of the junction of the European, Asian and African worlds. And they shipped most of the Jews from Europe there, and gave them guns. This was the British, by the way, look up "Palestine Mandate" if you have any further questions about this. They took land from not only the sizable Muslim population (Arabs, Jordanian, Syrian, Iraqi, etc.) but also the sizable Christian population as well.

And Evangelical Christians (such as George W. Bush) believe that it's prophecized that in order to bring about "the rapture" (the second coming of Jesus), the Muslims and Jews must destroy each other in Palestine (Israel). So all of this conflict is generally welcomed. It's not just profit. It's power. It's fairly obvious that these people get together and talk to each other. It's fairly obvious they know what's going on because it's their JOB to know what's going on. We just have to start accepting the fact that we are the little people.

People in China don't question what their power elite does. And somehow they manage to survive and grow as a country. In America, the great experiment was what would happen if we (as a people) could talk as much shit as we want about our country. And the 60's broke that.

So what, we're still a young country. We don't really know what the future holds. We're only about 250 years old, you know, which isn't long in the great scheme of things. We need to learn to think bigger. It's more than just America anymore! Your and my existence is fairly meaningless in the great scheme of things. Our central bank has been fleecing the entire world for a half-century and you didn't think eventually we would have to back up our loans with something? What do we have to give? Protection, that's about it. Haven't you heard Russia started flying bombers again? If you think this is about a few stupid terrorists, think again.

This is about the New World Order. And I'm not talking about conspiracy shite. There are competing philosophies chomping at the bit to make a play for world leadership, not limited to the EU, China, India, Russia, the Middle East (consolidating into one or two larger countries or economic systems). On September 11, 1990, George H. W. Bush gave a speech called "Toward a New World Order", in which he states:

A new partnership of nations has begun, and we stand today at a unique and extraordinary moment. The crisis in the Persian Gulf, as grave as it is, also offers a rare opportunity to move toward an historic period of cooperation.
