    it is not secure, they know nothing about security, this is not a troll, just some facts, if you cant handle these facts then I suggest that you don't read /.

    openbsd know good coding........linux admins who i implement selinux or rsbac, which use MAC know about security. openbsd being secure by default means nothing, as novel makes the same claims. :)

    Are you some kind of idiot?

    First, OpenBSD is only secure by default, change anything and it has no guarntee.

    Second, please inform me how any system running no services, othing *EXCEPT* ipchains/iptables is less insecure than a OpenBSD equivilant?

    Second, just because OpenBSD has brconfig, big whoop, it is possible to make bridging firewalls in Linux.

    manufactuers use directx, not just because of not having to code different for each platform, but because it is a standard, and does not just incorparate graphics, it has sound, networking etc etc. opengl is the competitor to direct3d, is sdl ready for game developers to use it in competition to directx?

    proove it, give me your password for your nt box. do you even know what nt is, what a domain is, what a user is? before you join in a debate look up the facts eh, openbsd rooted when enabling ftp, not bad at all, very secure, especcialy seeming as my box IS IMPOSSIBLE TO HACK!

    well i am now considering bsd, freebsd is a joke, netbsd is not worth mentioning, the only one with any promise is openbsd, which is fairly secure, although not quite as secure as my slackware kernel.

    I will be playing around with it, rooting it a bit for experience so i can root all the idiots who run obsd and think they are secure.

    anyways, best get back to my SECURE VMS box and finish coding openbsd exploits.

    rightio, i actually make a living selling SECURE slackware servers for whatever company x requests, having tried open and freebsd, i acertain that slackware can be set up FAR more securely.

    oh man, you sure are funny, i dont claim to be able to own your obsd firewall, sure it is secure, or at least more secure than my skills being able to penetrate it, but i also say that my handtuned slackware box is *far more* secure than your openbsd box, coincedently openbsd's identd.conf is the most secure thing about it.

    look, i dont mean to be a troll or whatever, but seriously, bsd is pretty much useless, linux surpasses it in security, performance and overall user friendlyness. there is no reason for bsd, lets see, what are the strengs of bsd acording to the advocates? the ports system - well there is apt-get, autoslack, among the rpm tools, come on people... you can do better.

    security - haha, my slackware box is more secure than openbsd, not to mention freebsd

    performance - linux 2.5 preemptive anyone?
    even 204 is faster, suck it down

    hardware platforms, linux runs on what matters.

    bsd sucks. i have used it, it is utter crap, it is not dying but it should. it has nothing, it is not more secure, its ports system is gay, it does not support ./configure, overall it is UTTER CRAP. long live linux with higher performance, better configuration and an altogethor nicer system.

    i dont want to be a troll, and if anyone can offer a better agreement then i will admit that i was wrong.

    look, i have used it, it is inferior in every way, from kernel level up to userspace, it has absolutley no point, that is why i run an advanced modular kernel that is extremly secure, you see unlike openbsd, my machine is secure, not just my inetd.conf.
