    No, I do not think helping China is helping humanity, but I to believe this helps humanity, not just china. And no I dont think making more weapons, or opening up weapon design, or letting anybody steal weapon designs is any good for humanity, China or the US.

    The IPs were registered to Google, Mountain View, CA, so its very much in the US jurisdiction.

    Some of the better run Asian countries (Japan, South Korea, etc), India, some democratic African country. There are always plenty of options.
     
    Why, because many of us are not fans of the Chinese govt, and their labor and environmental laws are pretty weak too.

    Why would anyone want to intentionally make a password case insensitive? I have never seen anybody else use such a system intentionally.

    Some banks I know, Wells Fargo and Capital One do. Try a simple experiment, try logging in with your password in wrong caps, you would still be able to login. I would be really really surprised if they were using a case insensitive hash instead of storing the text and making a case insensitive comparison.

    Calling China a democratic country is a stretch. The elections are not independent, the communist party maintains full control over it. Besides speech is highly restricted. How do you expect democracy to function without free speech?

    The toner powder is a paste. It is not dry enough to be not considered a paste. That is, you can apply pressure on them to turn it into clay like substance.

    Hack our safety scada yesterday? who cares, ops will safe the plant.

    But cant the safety scada override the ops scada, which means if safety scada is taken over, the hacker is pretty much in complete control.

    I am surprised 138 of the killed were classified as civilians. I would expected everyone killed to have been named as a terrorist (afterall no one can really prove someone is not a terrorist)
