  1. Re:I'd care more on US Officials Flunk Test On Civic Knowledge · · Score: 1

Getting a certain few of the questions wrong might be very disappointing in a public servant (e.g.: I hope they all know who commands the US military). Most of the questions were useless, though interesting, historical trivia. I got 31/33, but if a senator doesn't know the specific dogma of a religious sect, I won't think any less of them as that knowledge would not help them run the country.

Funny that. With the exception of rape-fantasy porn, they look like they're having a good enough time on camera. Are you suggesting that despite sticky mountains of evidence to the contrary, porn performers really *ARE* good actors/actresses? So skilled at acting that they can fool anyone into thinking they aren't being raped!?!?

    Also. Please cite your references.

Also, The post you quote wasn't about the merits of porn as it relates to performers or adults. Nor is it about completely illegal, and I think all here would agree abhorrent, kiddy porn. It is about the supposed "dangers" associated with children witnessing adults having sex, And the grandparent claims children have died because of other peoples' religious beliefs while none have died from watching porn. As far as I know, this is true.

Below are two examples of children who died this year in the US because of their parents religion. They would have lived if given any medical care. I challenge you to cite one reference of a child losing his/her life as a result of *viewing* legal adult pornography.

If one of your primary deciding factors is how trustworthy the candidate is, then the best you can do is pick the one you think will remain the least corrupted for the longest time. I don't know if that's Hillary or Barak. It looks like from your perspective Hillary has the handicap coming out of the gate since, as you say, she has "no principles" Who knows how long Barak would last against the temptations of the office, or how much worse than Hillary he could become?

That's reasonable. Speaking personally I've never seen such a sign at a coffee shop offering free WiFi so I doubt there was one in this case. It's possible though.

Yes this guy was committing theft and should be charged.

    It's theft is it?
Has anyone here ever been to a trade show and taken the free swag without ever buying the product promoted on said swag? Have you accepted free posters & whatnot from an auto show without later buying a Ferrari or Porshe?

Did you ever accepted the free t-shirts that newspapers and other companies hand out on campuses, at sporting events, concerts, etc. all over the country without later purchasing the goods or services they promote?

Then you sir, are a thief. None of that swag was free for those companies. And you should be charged.

Some coffee shops offer free WiFi in an effort to get people into the store spending money. If it fails, that's too bad. When someone uses their free wifi without buying anything it's perfectly ethical and it's perfectly legal.

Other coffee shops charge customers for WiFi. If this shop can't handle the inevitable freeloaders they've certainly got the option to lock down their network--and until they do the freeloaders are doing nothing wrong.
