I seem to remember Marvel actually approached Samuel L. Jackson back in 2001 and asked if they could use his likeness for the Ultimate version of Nick Fury. They were considering, even then, who to cast in the event of someday making the movie.
It makes more sense to use Ultimate Marvel settings & characters, anyway - less conflicting backgrounds.
So who else do you hold responsible

What about Thor? Are you still pissed at him for conquering Earth & imposing a fascist state with genuine superior men over humankind?
Or how about being pissed off at Professor X for his roll in the Onslaught fiasco?
Or how about...
The point is, pretty much every Marvel character has been on both sides of the good/evil fence at one time or another. They've all done some pretty messed-up things and killed their friends. Hating any one of the heroes for some of their less-heroic actions is about as silly as forgiving Victor Von Doom for the 3 or four times he helped fight against a greater evil...
Capacitors don't provide voltage, they resist a change in it. Ditto for inductors & amperage. Although I'll agree it's not the fourth element - it would be the fifth. A NP junction in its various forms would be the fourth.
What Reiser really should have been convicted of is felony Arrogance & Reckless Self-Absorption. The way he came across in his testimony, I would have felt the need to go outside & check if he said it was cloudy.
It's just another example of someone trying to do something they're obviously not good at.
Whether he did it or not, getting on the stand was a terrible idea. The day he spent talking about the condition of his car, for instance.
If he was telling the truth, he's horrible at explaining himself, and not very logical to begin with - the best place to sleep in a hatchback is in the back, with the seats folded forward.
If he was lying, he's an even bigger idiot - in that case, he should go down in history as one of it's most horrible liars.
It's something that seems pretty common among people with a certain mindset - just because they're good at one intellectual activity, they think they should be good at almost any. But that's obviously not the case, and you know what is said about pride...
In his car (a two-seater), the area behind the seats is higher than the floorboards. It would be a lot better to move the seats all the way back, and then lean them all the way forward. It's actually almost comfortable to sleep in like that...
Just because it's not a weapon doesn't mean it's not an instrument of war. Does a laser designator directly damage the target it's using? No, but allows the bombs to hit it more accurately.
So if that's your definition, there's only three. However, the legal definition in the US (if not the public use one) is a uniformed service that falls under the UCMJ, of which there are five.
As an aside, if you're trying to imply that the Marine Corps is part of the Navy, you're either a former squid yourself or just trying to start a fight. Possibly both.:)
In your snarkiness, you were partly right (since you left out the Coast Guard), even as you knew you were wrong about DHS.
The Coast Guard is part of DHS. So you're either not paying attention to the last five years or you're trolling.
And in response to your other post about what constitutes "military", it's a service which uses military rate & rank structure & is subject to the UCMJ. Of which there are five branches in the US - Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, and Coast Guard. There's two other 'uniformed services' (Public Health Service & National Oceanographic & Atmospheric Administraion) which can be militarized during time of war.
If your friend got a restraining order against you because of alleged assault, and then he went missing, it would be a little closer to what happened with Reiser.
Sean Sturgeon openly admitted to eight murders & 1 attempt, including, IIRC, one he hadn't even been charged with yet. This makes his word that he had nothing to do with Nina Reiser's death pretty believable (at least if I was a juror).
When in court, on trial for your life, subject to judgement from average citizens who have no hope of understanding you, your mannerisms or your bizarre hobbies and interests, keep your mouth shut.
Some of us (per federal regulations) are not allowed the luxury of wireless capability on our work laptops. And, even if we were, trusting public WiFi or hotel-room Ethernet is a little suspect.
Can you buy a wifi USB dongle? As far as trusting hotel room Ethernet... well, it's better than a public terminal.
Next time ask for $595 -- $5 less then the 1099 reporting requirement. You get $600 tax free and they get a working system with no headaches for a fraction of the cost of going elsewhere.
Just because they don't have to file a 1099 doesn't mean you're not supposed to pay tax on it. If you get audited, having a large number of $595 dollar deposits may look pretty suspicious. That's effectively what Al Capone was imprisoned for, remember...
What do you mean I'm doing it wrong?

That would explain why she could remember everything right from being cloned, though.

Check out some of the folks here who've been following this case for months.
I miss my CRX.

I'm not going to debate how 'military' the CG is or isn't, but they are part of the US military by legal definition, if not by public usage.

There's five branches in the U.S. military. Four in the Department of Defense, and one in the Department of Homeland Security.

I think it was more the 'as you would think it is' part.
Well, not really your friend, but friend to anyone who might have tried to read that.
They should have asked that question of a bunch of recent suicide attempters first.
Neither are (were?) these. All of the current systems have an operator somewhere... this one apparently just had a little issue with the remote.
