  1. Burger King on Iron Man Released · · Score: 1
After watching that, I protested the Burger King moment by going & buying McDonald's.

What do you mean I'm doing it wrong?

  2. Re:*SPOILER ALERT* in my reply on Iron Man Released · · Score: 1
I seem to remember Marvel actually approached Samuel L. Jackson back in 2001 and asked if they could use his likeness for the Ultimate version of Nick Fury. They were considering, even then, who to cast in the event of someday making the movie.

It makes more sense to use Ultimate Marvel settings & characters, anyway - less conflicting backgrounds.

  3. So who else do you hold responsible on Iron Man Released · · Score: 1
What about Thor? Are you still pissed at him for conquering Earth & imposing a fascist state with genuine superior men over humankind?

Or how about being pissed off at Professor X for his roll in the Onslaught fiasco?

    Or how about...

The point is, pretty much every Marvel character has been on both sides of the good/evil fence at one time or another. They've all done some pretty messed-up things and killed their friends. Hating any one of the heroes for some of their less-heroic actions is about as silly as forgiving Victor Von Doom for the 3 or four times he helped fight against a greater evil...

  7. Or, stick with what you're good at on Hans Reiser Guilty of First Degree Murder · · Score: 1
It's just another example of someone trying to do something they're obviously not good at.

Whether he did it or not, getting on the stand was a terrible idea. The day he spent talking about the condition of his car, for instance.

If he was telling the truth, he's horrible at explaining himself, and not very logical to begin with - the best place to sleep in a hatchback is in the back, with the seats folded forward.

If he was lying, he's an even bigger idiot - in that case, he should go down in history as one of it's most horrible liars.

It's something that seems pretty common among people with a certain mindset - just because they're good at one intellectual activity, they think they should be good at almost any. But that's obviously not the case, and you know what is said about pride...

In his car (a two-seater), the area behind the seats is higher than the floorboards. It would be a lot better to move the seats all the way back, and then lean them all the way forward. It's actually almost comfortable to sleep in like that...

The Coast Guard is part of DHS. So you're either not paying attention to the last five years or you're trolling.

And in response to your other post about what constitutes "military", it's a service which uses military rate & rank structure & is subject to the UCMJ. Of which there are five branches in the US - Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, and Coast Guard. There's two other 'uniformed services' (Public Health Service & National Oceanographic & Atmospheric Administraion) which can be militarized during time of war.
