I don't know of a single company ANYWHERE that is actively growing their Sun server farm. Everyone but the U.S. Government is running away screaming as fast as they can from Sun/Oracle.
FTFY.
Seriously. The federal government still thinks there's some advantage to running Solaris on Sparc.
My project tosses a few million of government money at Sun/Oracle every 1-2 years for "support" and new hardware.
I really hope you're just deep in character for an ongoing epic troll. Really. If the opinions you express are typical of Chiropractic practitioners then it's little wonder it is shunned as quackery by those involved in science-based medicine.
It will narrow the gap between online sellers and brick and mortar local type price-gouging operations, yes.
I'm not saying that Pa's General Store is trying to screw the customers, just that they can't help it. Narrowing the can't help but be bad for consumers.
Sadly, that is how things will stay as long as we have a 24 hour news cycle that reinforces the Chernobyl inspired views on nuclear power.
And herd mentality doesn't help either. Take this gem from a story on CNN.com about a run on potassium iodide on the West Coast:
"I didn't see too many people concerned about it. But when it was sold out, it made me think that I should be concerned,"
So, because a bunch of people ran out and bought potassium iodide to protect themselves against the coming nuclear apocalypse, this sheep does it too. Not educated enough to know whether something is a real threat? Don't bother researching the issue and making an informed decision. Just go out and buy a gas mask, a shotgun and enough MREs to last 50 years. Better safe than sorry, right?

Oh, right... I guess /. does qualify.
Epic lows? Didn't JoCo do a "live" Second Life show?
I was unaware. I see that the general population of the field is exactly as I had feared, right out there in oddball land with Homeopathy.

This. SG:U got off to a terrible start, but the second season (post cancellation) got pretty damned good. Not quite Atlantis good, but still up there.
Sources? Yes. Title 1 of DMCA WIPO Copyright and Performances and Phonograms Treaties Implementation Act . In case you're wondering, WIPO is a United Nations organisation. Yep, it was the U.N. that rained down this shitstorm on us.
It's notable because the SD slot on the Xoom didn't work out of the box. In fact, I don't even know if it works now, 2 months later.
Do they just push a button and the Automatic Movie Generator Machine System spits one out?
It seems that way sometimes.
Define "good job".

Ubuntu wasn't missing. In fact, in my reading they were getting some pants out of the deal.

I see what you did there.
