    the right way. THEY JUST ASKED ME TO PRINT THE EMAIL THEY SENT ME WITH THE AGREEMENT AND FAX IT TO THEM. Agreed to go $15 more for 50 more channels and 2x bandwidth. They upped the monthly by $30 and somehow doubled the first month. Bandwidth has not budged. They don't seem to understand that a written agreement needs to be honored.

    my wife had laser retina repairs a few years back, and after hearing the description of the procedure, I related that had I been sitting in the chair, there would then be me-shaped cartoon-like hole in the exam room wall. The mere description of LASIK and PRK is enough to make me lightheaded. It's just an eye thing. Pain I can take. $4,000 will buy me 20 pairs of glasses, and I ain't gonna live long enough to go through 20 pairs of glasses.

    where SW has to work and most people will never exhaust all of what it does and uncover all the bugs. Too often people just figure (a) tech is hard and (2) i'm not a computer geek so there's no way I'll ever work this thing right anyway.

    minimum wage is not about putting everyone at the current 80th %ile, it's about using diffuse market-collected money to make sure 20% of the people don't have to (a) starve or (b) mostly have the gummint pay for their stuff. I'm judged as a liberal by most people I meet, and even I don't want taxes paying for stuff the market can do if there is a workable alternative, which this seems to be. I'll take a law that creates a market condition over taxpayer largess. Why? The law sets a minimum that above which the market can adapt based on economic conditions. Taxes and handouts need constant tweaking by more laws and amendments.
